The Egyptian Russian University announces details of artificial intelligence courses for children \u2026 \n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Within the framework of the community responsibility of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU) and its adoption of an ambitious program to discover and care for talented children in its community environment through a group of initiatives and events targeting young people, Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, ERU President, announced that it was decided to hold theoretical and practical training courses for children from the age of 10 to 16 years old in the field of “artificial intelligence.” The courses aim at supporting the young people\u2019s skills with future technology. They will be held on campus at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence. He pointed out that the university contributes to providing an enjoyable and advanced academic learning environment, with the presence of a group of distinguished faculty members and the best trainers who have high experience in the field of modern technology, under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Al-Sayed Mustafa, Head of University Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Dr. Hesham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the ERU, stated that the training courses will consist of: two workshops for children and youth with the goal to discover their talents and capacities, and to develop their technological skills in a new and exciting manner through an exciting journey to discover the world of \u201cartificial intelligence.\u201d He explained that, in the first level, the trainees will learn the basics of modern technologies such as:
1- How to operate the computer and its components.
2- Definition of algorithms? And how to use it to solve technological problems in a fun way.
3- Interactive programming by using “Blockly” for designing software for games.
4- Teaching the basics of artificial intelligence with a project using \u201cPictoBlox\u201d for teaching children how to make smart robots!
5- Methods of designing the \u201cmobile applications\u201d in addition to carrying out a simple mobile application by using \u201cApp Inventor\u201d.
On his part, Dr. Said Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the ERU, said that the second level of the training course for children on artificial intelligence is to dig more profoundly into the details of technology in innovative ways such as:
1- Computer and hardware basics, in addition to understanding more about the internal components of the computer and how to operate it.
2- How to write complex algorithms and how to define the structure of \u201cflowcharts\u201d for solving big technological problems.
3- Scripting for the first time with \u201cRoboMind,\u201d in addition to building programs by using codes.
4- Designing and building a mobile application – a complete mobile application from A to Z, together with adding databases, interaction between screens, entering the world of artificial intelligence (Machine Learning), and implementing real projects by using algorithms.
In the same vein, Dr. Sameh Zarif, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department and Director of the Training Unit at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the ERU, confirmed that the training courses will be interactive, with practical applications and projects that make children and youth apply what they have learned on the ground. This shall be achieved by using the most modern advanced educational methods and means. Dr. Sameh added that the number of seats is very limited so that each child or young person can learn as much as possible in a distinct manner, especially that each level takes only 6 days.
It is worth mentioning that the price of the level is only LE. 500. The registration for the courses will begin on Sunday, 15th of December, 2024, and the courses will start in the mid-year vacation in the current academic year.
