Dr. Ezz-el-Din Abd-el-Aziz Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the faculty management organized an exhibition of glass products of artistic nature for exterior architecture. The products reflect the technological and applied development in the area of glass manufacturing and meet the requirements of exterior architecture. The event took place in cooperation with “Decorative Glass Company,” a pioneer in the field of glass manufacturing in Egypt and the Middle East. Dr. Ezz-el-Din pointed out that the exhibition was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Al-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the ERU’s Board of Trustees, and under the patronage of Professor \/ Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the University.<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the ERU explained that holding the \u201cExhibition of Glass Products of Artistic Nature for Architecture\u201d is a support for academic education within the faculty, which contributes to building the students’ innovative and technological capacity in designing and manufacturing glass products, and opens new horizons for the faculty students in the fields of advanced labor market.<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dr. Ezz-el-Din Abd-el-Aziz Hassan stated that the number of displayed glass artworks exceeded 23 works. They were displayed around the faculty, and were admired by the students of the ERU’s faculties and the visitors, who expressed their amazement at the technological development in the glass industry and took many commemorative photos.<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the ERU added that holding the glass exhibition comes in light of the university and faculty leadership\u2019s efforts to raise the students’ level in order to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market. It also aims at providing them with the opportunity to learn about glass artworks; and to serve as an important effective model of scientific, artistic and technological inputs which influence the students of the faculty, in general, and those of the \u201cGlass Department,\u201d in particular, in their theoretical and applied studies. This sheds light on the relation between theoretical curricula and implementation technology. Thus, what these exhibitions aim to achieve is to increase the students’ scientific and practical experience in order to build up qualified graduates who have relevant innovative and technological capacities that are connected to and coping with the rapidly changing needs of labor market.<\/p>
