This step comes within the framework of the educational and enlightening role of community services carried out by the Faculty of Pharmacy under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the Egyptian Russian University.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Prof. Dr. Mohamed IhabFattouh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University, stated that the \u201cBiochemistry Department\u201d at the faculty launched an awareness campaign under the name of \u201cProper Nutrition\u201d; It aims to follow a proper and correct nutrition regimen.. He pointed out that the campaign is attended by a group of \u00a0theFaculty of Pharmacy students, and under the supervision of the &#8220;Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Nutrition&#8221; in the college.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University indicated that proper and correct nutrition is the main reason for avoiding many diseases and the main reason for maintaining heart and bone health, proper digestion and reducing the risk of cancers and chronic diseases. He also explained the relation between improper nutrition and the increased incidence of many diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In the same context, pharmacist Abdullah Radwan, assistant lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Nutrition at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University, stressed that it is our humanitarian and community education duty to create a kind of public awareness, regarding proper nutrition and how to choose the appropriate type of food for many different diseases &#8220;Liver disease, diabetes, and stress&#8221;, especially in light of the &#8220;Coronavirus&#8221; epidemic, pointing out that proper nutrition from a young age is very similar to a retirement savings plan, and the more we start with proper nutrition early in the early life of children, we keep them healthy when they reach old age.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The assistant lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Nutrition at the College of Pharmacy explained that the recommendations of the campaign included clarifying the concept of the glycemic index for the public; as the response of insulin hormone \u00a0in the human body to different types of food is not the same; This response depends on the sensitivity of the insulin hormone to each food type and to what extent the &#8220;blood glucose&#8221;
