Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University in<\/p>

Cairo, Badr City, announced that the students of the Faculty of Engineering at the university participated in the qualifications for the final events to manufacture units of educational satellite project, \u201cCube satellite” in the framework of The joint cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering at the university and the \u201cEgyptian Space Agency\u201d explaining that the university participated by two groups of students from “Communications and Mechatronics and Robotics” departments from college of Engineering; these activities come within the framework of the national project for the development of technology infrastructure<\/p>

Communications and satellites, and keeping pace with the development witnessed by the world in this field. These events aim at contributing in achieving self-sufficiency in the manufacture of satellites in Egypt, and graduating a generation of engineers capable of joining the field of advanced industries in space sciences in the national and international market.<\/p>

The President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo indicated that the \u201cEgyptian Russian University\u201d, in Cairo, “Badr City” received a delegation from the Egyptian space agency in February 2021 at the university headed by engineer Waseem Eisa\u00a0 and a protocol was signed to participate in the implementation of the educational satellite project,<\/p>

linked to the Egyptian space technology education platform, and that the most important items of joint cooperation between the university and the space agency, is to equip an educational laboratory for satellites at the most advanced level to be used \u00a0in training cadres of students and researchers, as the lab contains \u00a0technological components \u00a0and simulation programs for the \u201cEgyptian Satellite for universities”<\/p>

Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry explained that the aim of signing a joint cooperation protocol between The Faculty of Engineering at the university, and the \u201cEgyptian Space Agency\u201d is to qualify manpower and prepare cadres in the field of space science and technology, capable of achieving sustainable development goals, and opening up a field of space research and new horizons for the development and contribution to the state\u2019s plan to manufacture and launch satellites with Egyptian hands and minds to keep pace with the programs of developed countries in this field.<\/p>

The President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, Badr City, stated that the University\u2019s Faculty of Engineering in the year (2020) got the “sixth and tenth” places. Out of (56) teams from different “governmental and private universities” In the “Egyptian Space Agency” competition program in the summer training under the name of Space Science & Technology For Egyptian university students in cooperation with “Benha University” Obour City branch, and the financing of the “Egyptian Space Agency”, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Al-Qoussy, CEO of the agency; It was the only university that got two teams including one of the top ten that carried out the manufacture of \u201csatellite\u201d parts of Educational Cube Satellite for universities.<\/p>

In the same context, Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian University, confirmed \u00a0that the participation of students of the Faculty of Engineering from the departments of Communication and Mechatronics and robots” In the project of implementing the \u201ceducational satellite\u201d is part of their graduation project In the final year in the college noting that the projects that were presented inside the \u201cAgency\u201d campus<\/p>

\u00a0In the administrative capital, was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hisham Fathi, Head of the Communications Department at the College of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mosaad, Head of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics, Dr. Tamer Saleh, a teacher in the Department of Communications, and Dr. Ahmed Sedeek \u00a0the teacher in the Department of Communications, and Dr. Magdy Raouf, the teacher in the Department of Mechatronics and robots.<\/p>

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University explained that the first team of the \u201cDepartment of Mechatronics and Robotics” consists of students : Seif El-Din Ashraf Aboul Fotouh, Mohamed Hazem Mahmoud, Bishoy Imad Rushdy, Muhammad Ahdy Jaber, Omar Abdel-Karim Muhammad, Imad\u00a0 Mohamed Essam, Ahmed Sabry Judah, and Abdullah Mahmoud Bashar,\u201d adding that the second team of students is from Communication department.\u201d<\/p>

\u00a0It consists of: Mahmoud Abd Rabbo, Ahmed Hassan Zakaria, Mohamed Fayed, Heba Atef, and Fatima Ashraf.<\/p>
