Prof. Dr. Khaled Tawfik, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the Egyptian Russian University announced that the beginning of the midterm exams for the first semester of the current academic year ( 2021 – 2022 ) amid applying strict precautionary measures to prevent the \u201c Corona Virus \u201c; in order to preserve the safety of students, faculty staff members, their assistants and workers inside the college campus. He indicated that students who didn\u2019t receive the \u201cCorona Virus\u201d vaccine were not allowed to enter the exams and their number was very limited. Noting that they received warnings more than a week before the exams schedule date.
The Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the Egyptian Russian University asserted that certain measures were taken to preserve the safety of students, as all appropriate places and classrooms were opened to contain the number of students, avoid the crowds at the entrances and exits, organize students in the designated places and subject the students to a thermal examination before entering the campus gates; according to the directions of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd -Elnabi president of the Egyptian Russian University, to abide by the instructions of the decisions of the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Health and Population in this regard.
Prof. Dr. Khaled Tawfiq revealed that students who have been confirmed or suspected of being infected with the new \u201cCorona Virus\u201d must inform the university medical clinic via the e-mail designated for that, and then submit a medical report approved by the competent medical authority at the university after full recovery and return to college. Noting that in that case the student may submit an excuse for not attending the exams that coincide only with the period of suspicion or infection as determined by the medical report, and he is allowed to enter the rest of the exams after recovery.
In the same context, Dr. Hisham El – Hawary , Vice Dean for student Affairs and Examination Supervisor added that social distancing between students have been achieved in order to preserve the safety of students, faculty staff members and their assistants as well as the college members. Assuring that the exams are going with ease, in addition to adhering to the prevention controls in terms of wearing medical masks, ventilation and daily disinfection operations in all places where the exams are held.
He also explained that the university administration provided the vaccine for those students who needed vaccination on the same day of the exam in order to be allowed to attend the exams. Pointing out that it actually happened that some students received the vaccine and after that they were allowed to enter and perform the midterm exams, First semester \u201cMidterm \u201c; for the current academic year according to the regulations and laws.<\/p>
