The Faculty of Engineering at The Egyptian Russian University opens an exhibition of engineering models with the participation of 143 students..with pictures
Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Engineering at the university organized an exhibition of engineering drawing models for the preparatory students for the second semester of the academic year (2021-2022), which will be held periodically every academic year, as it included (28) models for their engineering models and drawings during their first academic year, explaining that the Egyptian Russian University organizes exhibitions for the projects of students from different academic levels in the university’s faculties, as an annual tradition, based on the university’s mission aimed at preparing and qualifying students, developing their skills, highlighting their potentials and innovations, The value of these projects is that they are linked to reality and come within the framework of the practical application of what is being studied.
In the same context, Prof. Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that the exhibits included a variety of wooden and metal models, which represent a number of different engineering models…. He added that the students implemented the models in various methods, including manual, mechanical and 3D printing, and that the exhibition has achieved the desired goals, which is the students’ implementation of 3D models using 2D graphics to show their understanding of what they studied in the course.
Prof. Dr. Fatima Shaltout, Head of the Construction Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, praised the students of the preparatory level for what they saw and their value of models made of wood, metal and paper materials that represent the connections used in metal structures and bridges, and confirmed that this indicates students’ understanding of the scientific content of the engineering drawing subject taught to the preparatory students. These models confirm the college’s keenness to support the study with realistic examples to increase the engineering sense of the students and link the study to the practical reality and increase their knowledge of the urban renaissance that the country is witnessing as building bridges and modern cities with distinctive and unique urban characteristics.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Hassanein, a teacher in the Department of Construction Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, added that the exhibition was attended by many academic and professional leaders from inside and outside the university and a delegation from the Egyptian Space Agency, who praised the level at which the students appeared while stepping their first steps on the ladder of success wishing them a bright professional future achieving all their goals. After that, the students received an introductory lecture about the various departments of the faculty, delivered by the heads of departments within the Faculty of Engineering at the university.
On the same subject, Dr. Hani Ragab Al-Juraydi, a teacher in the Construction Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that all the attendees praised the work that was implemented and the efforts exerted by the students. He pointed out that 143 male and female students participated in the exhibition. The preparatory students, on their part, expressed the maximum benefit from the organization of the exhibition and that it instilled in them a sense of engineering and teamwork, and increased their understanding of what was taught.
