Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry, president of the Egyptian Russian University and in the presence of Dr. Osman, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity, and Director of the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund, the activities of a conscious youth campaign began (18/10 – 2/11/2022) for the fifth year successively.
This comes within the framework of the university’s social awareness activities and maximizing the role of youth in positive and effective participation in raising community awareness of the dangers and harms of smoking and addiction to individuals and society.
The events include various activities such as media campaigns to raise awareness of drug harms, workshops, field visits to schools and factories in Badr City, sports competitions, and artistic performances, all of which aim to raise awareness of the risks of drug abuse in ways that suit the target groups.

The inaugural seminar of the campaign was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Askar, Director of General Preventive Programs at the Addiction Control Fund, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, Forensic Expert at the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al- Shorouk and Badr Educational District, Dr. Asmaa Alaa Al-Din, Media and Psychological Consultant, Ms. Amira Ragab, Assistant Supervisor of the Preventive Programs Administration at the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund, Mr. Mohamed Taher, Content Maker and Art Critic, and a large number of students and faculty members at the university. After the opening, there was a football match in the university stadium between two student teams.
