Dr. Makarem Al-Ghamry, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages ​​at the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a symposium was held in cooperation with the British Council in Egypt”, pointing out that this symposium was supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and sponsored by Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnaby, President of the University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages ​​at the Egyptian Russian University added that these specialized seminars and workshops contribute to refine students’ skills and developing their academic and personal experiences, as well as these workshops familiarize them with the requirements of the labor market, whether “local, regional, or international”… explaining that the symposium was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Ismail, Executive Director of the English Score Program at the British Council.

Dr. Makarem Al-Ghamry explained that an overview was given about the certificates that qualify the approval of papers for those who wish to work in international institutions, large companies or travel to English-speaking countries such as “America, the United Kingdom, or European countries” .. noting that the types of certificates were explained as the following:
TOEFL is a test in English for non-native speakers or those who use it as a second language to measure the degree of their proficiency in it, and this test is required to be passed by foreign students in more than “2400” colleges and universities within the “United States of America” ​​and other places in the world.
IELTS is a test in International English Language Testing System, and the IELTS test is the most famous English language test in the world; For the purposes of “study, work, and immigration abroad,” three million IELTS tests were taken last year.
EnglishScore is a quick and accurate test to define the level of the English language of the individual through a mobile application. It tests and evaluates students’ proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening , and it can be used for self-improvement or to prove the level of the employer or to prepare for a test such as IELTS “.

At the end of the symposium, the attendees praised the information which was provided for students, staff members and the teaching assistants from all disciplines, stressing that the presentation was distinct and clear, and the organization was good.
