In an era where the economy is increasingly driven by information and digital transformation, the need for business professionals skilled in information systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies is greater than ever. The Department of Business Technology responds to this demand by preparing graduates to design, plan, develop, manage, and evaluate information systems that support effective decision-making in dynamic and uncertain business environments. This involves applying computational, statistical, and analytical models to solve real-world problems.
Part of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology, the department offers interdisciplinary academic programs that blend core business knowledge with information technology and data analytics. These programs provide students with both theoretical understanding and practical skills relevant to today's technology-centric industries. Graduates are equipped to adapt to rapid technological advancements and contribute meaningfully in various sectors, including business, finance, and healthcare.
For the time being, the department of business technology offers four programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science degree in either:
- Business Analytics (BA)
- Management information system (MIS)
- Marketing Intelligence (MI)
- Digital Banking and Fintech (DBF)
