Conclusion of the Practical Electronics Course for Kids at the Egyptian Russian University
The activities of the Practical Electronics Course for kids, organized by the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, concluded under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Fahkry, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Alaa El Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Russian University adopting an ambitious program to discover and nurture talented children in its community environment through a set of initiatives and activities targeting children and emerging buds.
The course was held over 6 weeks, with the attendance of 90 children. It aimed to hone the skills of creative thinking, innovation and cooperative teamwork for the child, and to learn about a set of concepts such as: electrical circuits, wires, digital boards and cells, under the supervision of Dr. Tamer Saleh, a lecturer in the Communications Department and Director of the Huawei Academy at the University and the person responsible for the course.
The closing activities included an exhibition for children in the Faculty of Engineering building, where the children displayed their projects and distinguished achievements during the course in a cheerful atmosphere and the appreciation of the attendees for the children’s self-confidence and their fluent response to inquiries. The closing ceremony was completed at the university theater, where recordings of the practical training were shown, showing the presentation of information to children in several ways, including fun, humor, and play, along with seriousness in implementing the requirements. The children were honored and certificates of completion of the course were distributed.
The participants in the preparation and organization were also honored, including Huawei Academy officials, the College of Engineering, and a number of hardworking engineering students.
