In continuation of the awareness-raising activities and events carried out by the Egyptian Russian University, in cooperation with the Badr and AL Shorouk Educational area, and within the activities of the # Conscious Youth campaign, which was launched for the sixth year, a group of ERU students, volunteers of the Social Solidarity Unit on campus, and the “Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction” team… A visit to Al-Fardous Secondary School in Badr City was held.
The campaign team held an awareness lecture for school students about the harmful effects of cigarette smoking, which is the first gateway to drug abuse and addiction. Through discussions with the school students, some society misconceptions about drug abuse were corrected. The team also distributed awareness brochures to the students. This visit comes to activate the community role and commitment to the university’s social responsibility, and to maximize the role of youth in effective positive participation in community awareness.
