The Egyptian Russian University in Cairo receives Egyptian students who have obtained a high school certificate or its equivalent from Arab and foreign certificates, Arab and foreign students and transferred students from other universities and institutes who want to be enrolled in the university in “Badr City” in Cairo Governorate, after the results of the high school for the year (2020-2021) appear in the current month of “August”.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, stated that the registration for admission to the university faculties for high school students in the academic year (2021-2022) will be done by applying on the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research website while implementing the decision of the Council of Private and National Universities and taking the precautionary measures against the “Corona Virus” and the Ministry’s requirements to maintain the safety of students and parents into consideration.

The President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo explained that the university includes 4 faculties: “The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers.” He pointed out that the university is an active member of the Association of Arab Universities and has cooperation agreements with many international universities which allows the students of the Faculty of Engineering to obtain a double degree upon graduation in agreement with Izhevsk State Technical University. This agreement paves the way for the university graduates to compete in various work fields locally and internationally.

The president of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo added that the university has executed many cooperation agreements with major scientific institutions to develop students’ technical capabilities in order to qualify them to face future challenges of the labor market, and to keep pace with the requirements of the state’s vision in its plan for (2030), including a joint cooperation protocol with “Huawei” “The global network to establish a “Huawei Academy” inside the university campus, as well as a joint cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Engineering and the Egyptian Space Agency, to participate in the implementation of an educational satellite project. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Egyptian Space Agency in (November 2019) for cooperation in the field of space, satellite engineering and technology, within the framework of the university’s plan to enhance the students’ skills in the field of space science and remote sensing.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University noted that the university gives priority to scientific research and encourages students to innovate and excel in their fields; the Faculty of Engineering participates annually in the Egyptian Rally for manufacturing electric cars, which has been held by the Academy of Scientific Research since 2018, to prepare and build capable Egyptian engineers to work in the electric vehicle industry. The students of the Faculty of Engineering were able to reach the final stages of the competition during the past three years: (2018 – 2019 – 2020), and they have distinguished experiences that enabled them to get the second place in the 2019 edition of the rally. In addition, another student invented a power bumper that generates electricity when cars pass over it.

Moreover, he revealed that the university owns service facilities to for student activities, such as: “theater, conference hall, mosque, medical clinics, sports fields, student union headquarters, food court, green spaces, a college town for expatriates for housing and accommodation, transportation lines for students which covers Greater Cairo and the eastern Delta governorates, electronic banks, a printing and stationery center, medical care, and a public library.”
