The faculty of Engineering of the Egyptian Russian University announces the most important graduation projects for students.

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Engineering at the university discussed (83) graduation projects for students of the final teams of the academic year (2022-2023) in the programs of the Faculty of Engineering which are “Communications Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Architectural Engineering.” Pointing out that graduation projects give the student the opportunity to apply what he has learned in his field of specialization and implement it practically to be ready to join the labor market. It also creates a state of scientific motion within the university between faculty members and students, and provides an opportunity for scientific benefit from the university’s infrastructure. Students’ graduation projects receive special attention and support from Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees and the University’s administration.

In the same context, Dr. Alaa Muhammad Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that the graduation students’ projects in the four programs were discussed by a number of committees that included professors from prestigious universities and some specialists from the symbols of the Egyptian labor market in addition to faculty members. The committees discussed students to ensure that they have absorbed the necessary knowledge and skills and that they have become qualified for the labor market, whether “local, regional, or international”.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University noted that the members of the discussion committees praised the graduation projects for this year, and stated that they showed the students’ knowledge of the basic theoretical aspects as well as the abilities and practical skills that they acquired during the years of study and also from practical training in sites, companies, factories and national projects in field visits, which enabled them to do integrated graduation projects in the field of specialization.

For her part, Dr. Fatima Shaltout, Head of the Department of Construction Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that (30) various projects were discussed for the students of the final year in the department over two days in various disciplines of construction engineering, with the arbitration of discussion committees that included a selection of civil engineering professors in various fields and in the presence of some figures in the real estate market in Egypt, explaining that the department is characterized by teaching a large number of courses related to project management; Which makes the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University distinct from its counterparts in other universities.. Noting that the committee for discussing the project of soil mechanics and foundations included: “Professor. Khaled Al-Dhahabi, Head of the Housing and Building Research Center, Dr. Heba Al-Saeed, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dumairi”, and the committee for discussing the project on properties and resistance of materials consisted of: “Professor. Amr El-Hefnawy, Undersecretary of the National Center for Building Research, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jabri, Director of the Institute of Materials Properties at the National Research Center, Dr. Mohamed Saber, and Dr. Mirhan William”.

The head of the Department of Construction Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University stated that the committee for discussing the project of designing concrete structures consisted of: “Professor Nasr Zeinhom, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Madina Institute, Dr. Omnia Farouk, Dr. Safinaz Khalifa, and Dr. Hany Ragab “The project management” project discussion committee consisted of: “Professor Manal Abdel Hamid, Director of the Project Management Institute at the National Center for Building Research, Dr. Ahmed Bahaa El-Din, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sharqawy, Dr. Venice Fayed.” The committee for discussing the project of designing metal constructions consisted of: “Dr. Ali Al-Rifai, and Dr. Muhammad Jamal”, and the committee to discuss the road project consisted of: “Professor. Muhammad Al-Sadiq, Professor of Road Design and Head of the Consultative Center at the Faculty of Engineering in El-Mataria, Helwan University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abul-Maaty, Professor of Design Roads, Menoufia University, and Dr. Mohamed Rabah.

On the same subject, Dr. Ibrahim Mossaad, Head of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, indicated that 17 graduation projects were discussed for students of the department, and the projects included innovative ideas in some industrial and service applications that are required locally and globally. He explained that students in These projects covered the design and manufacturing factors, the selection of materials, as well as the design of electronic circuits; The projects included “robotic and mechatronic systems, production lines and simulation systems, artificial intelligence, water desalination, hydrogen extraction cells for use as green fuel, electric cars and submarines.”

The head of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering noted that some projects received financial and technical support from the Egyptian Russian University administration, some prestigious companies and the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technology, due to the importance of these applied projects. He revealed that the latest computer programs were used for digital modeling as well as computer design He added that the manufacturing process took place in the college’s workshops, pointing out that the discussion committees consisted of members from outside and inside the college.

In a related context, Dr. Shaima Mostafa, Head of the Communications Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, said that (5) distinguished graduation projects were discussed for students of the final year in the department, as follows:

– The first project: a wireless connection using “VLC” technology that uses a light source to transmit data without wires through visible light; It provides increased bandwidth, complete immunity from interference, and improved security.

– The second project: related to securing the new prime minister’s building located in the city of El Alamein, using “artificial intelligence”; to build an early warning system “air security system – ground security system”, using a network of different sensors such as cameras, radio frequency sensors and security lasers.

– The third project: on road safety by focusing on developing an integrated system that uses advanced technologies to monitor various aspects of driver and vehicle performance to prevent accidents while driving.

The fourth project: is concerned with developing a mobile application through the implementation of equations related to the planning and optimization processes of the 4G and 5G network to help the planning and optimization engineers to perform their work in a more convenient, easy and efficient way.

The fifth project: It was to cover the network and the Internet of the Egyptian Russian University in all buildings, floors, student housing, and important areas adjacent to the university using 5G technology. The project received the approval of the discussion committee.

On the same subject, Dr. Faten Labib, Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering, and Dr. Mahmoud Issa, a professor in the department, indicated that the graduation projects were discussed in the Department of Architectural Engineering, numbering (31) various projects that were carefully selected according to the requirements of serving the local community, some of which are real projects included in the state plan for community development. Some of them are projects proposed by the students with the help
of their supervisors to meet some of the actual needs of the local community. A group of architecture professors from a number of universities participated in the public discussion of the students, as follows: (Dr. Hamdi Sadiq Ahmed, Helwan University. – Dr. Hossam Bakr Khalil, The British University in Egypt. – Dr. Ihab Mahmoud Okba, Fayoum University – Dr. Mohaga Imam Imbaby, Fayoum University – Dr. Mohamed Emad Nour El Din, Helwan University – Dr. Ahmed Atef Fajal, Ain Shams University – Dr. Ahmed Hosni Radwan, Helwan University – Dr. Mahmoud Taha Selim, University Helwan – Dr. Ashraf Ahmed El Mahdawy, Helwan University – In addition to the project supervisors – Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Eissa, Egyptian Russian University – Dr. Osama Mahmoud Abu El-Enein, Port Said University – Dr. Ahmed Maher Fouda, Suez University.
