Green Mouth… Healthy Life
In alignment with the Egyptian Russian University’s adoption of Egypt Vision 2030, particularly its focus on sustainable development, the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Faculty of Pharmacy organized an eco-friendly 3D educational exhibition on Sunday, May 4, 2025, under the title: “Green Mouth… Healthy Life.”
This project supports the goals of sustainable development by promoting environmental awareness among students, enhancing their skills, and encouraging the use of eco-friendly and biodegradable materials in educational and practical applications.
The exhibition featured the participation of four academic levels from the Faculties of Pharmacy and Oral & Dental Medicine and showcased 31 student projects covering 13 core topics related to the oral microbiome and its impact on human health.
The participants included:
•Second-year pharmacy students from the Clinical Pharmacy and PharmD (Programmatic) tracks, all of whom are enrolled in the General Microbiology and Immunology course.
•First-year dental students, who are also enrolled in the same joint course.
Each team of pharmacy and dental students collaborated to present a shared topic through innovative 3D educational models. Meanwhile, fourth-year Clinical Pharmacy students (as part of their Public Health course) addressed the same topics from a clinical and public health perspective, using interactive materials and educational quizzes to boost engagement.
The exhibition reflected students’ commitment to environmental sustainability, as they designed their projects using biodegradable and recycled materials that are safe for the environment.
As a gesture of support, Prof. Dr. Ihab Fattouh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, welcomed the outstanding student teams to his office and honored them with eco-friendly certificates of appreciation, in the presence of representatives from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
We are proud of our students for presenting an inspiring model of environmentally conscious, interactive learning aligned with national development goals.
Together toward a greener mouth… a more aware individual… and a more sustainable future!
