Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd El- Nabi, president of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo announced that the university’s Board of Trustees, headed by Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, issued a decision appointing Dr. Hisham Fathy Ali Hamed, professor of Electronics and Communications Engineering and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Minya University, as Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University.

   The president of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo indicated that the “Faculty of Artificial Intelligence” is one of the colleges that keeps pace with the needs of labor market, whether local or international, and has the consent of students who want to work in the field of information technology. Assuring that the Egyptian Russian University is keen on preparing qualified human cadres for future jobs, and adding new scientific specializations to keep pace with modern developments and challenges and achieving competitiveness in the labor market.

   The president of the University noted that the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University opens its doors to accept high school students in the class of 2022 or its equivalent and enrollment is available for students of the scientific department in its two divisions (biology and mathematics), and that the duration of study at the college is four years, the student obtains a Bachelor degree in Artificial Intelligence Science. The study is in English language. The College is equipped with computer laboratories of the highest specifications, and has a selection of distinguished faculty members and assistant staff.

   It is worth noting that Dr. Hisham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, has been held in the following positions: “Advisor to the president of the Egyptian Russian University for Quality and Development Affairs, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Minya University, Secretary of the Permanent Committee for Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors, Majoring in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Member of the Communications and Information Technology Research Council in the Specific Councils Sector at the Academy of Scientific Research, and a reviewer at the National Authority for Quality Assurance And Accreditation of Education.
