The “Egyptian Russian University” in Cairo, in cooperation with the global “Huawei Company”, organized an event to announce the launch of the “Huawei ICT Competition” in its fourth edition, which qualifies for the finals in the capital “Beijing” in China, from inside the conference hall on the university campus in Badr City. During the event, the training courses provided by “Huawei Company” were reviewed within the joint cooperation agreement between the two parties; to train students and graduates through the academy established at the university.
Dr. Sherif Fahkry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that holding these meetings is a great opportunity for students and graduates to learn everything new in “Sciences of Communications Engineering Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology” through the largest leading companies in the world in these fields such as “Huawei”.. adding that this meeting was held in accordance with the protocol signed with the global “Huawei Company” to establish a “Huawei Academy” in the university campus to train students and graduates from the university’s faculties or graduates of other universities and institutes; with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University.
In the same context, Dr. Alaa El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, said that the meeting aims to introduce opportunities for training students and providing them with the necessary skills and encouraging students and graduates to participate in major competitions held by “Huawei” at the international level to spread the culture of communications technology and artificial intelligence and to keep pace with the requirements of the state and contribute to the digital transformation plan until (2030).. explaining that this can help students obtain good job opportunities through the company’s nominations for the entities working with it and using its technology; especially in the fields of “network and cloud” engineering, which most local and international companies, both private and governmental, are eager to acquire.
For his part, Dr. Hesham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and General Supervisor of Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, pointed out that the goal of these competitions and meetings is to create a bank of distinguished human capabilities in the field of information and communication technology (ITB); to participate in building the necessary ICT capabilities to implement the digital transformation strategy in Egypt, and to make Egypt a center of excellence and a bank of ICT talents in the region and the world, in addition to building a link between distinguished capabilities and the labor market.
In a related context, Dr. Tamer Saleh, Executive Director of Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that within the competition activities, the university students participating in the competition will be filtered through several tests to enter the competition, and the distinguished ones will be chosen to represent the university in a test at the level of all universities in the Republic, as the students will be divided into teams in the North Africa region competition stage and the final stage to represent Egypt in the global competition at the level of the countries of the world in “China”, and the winning team will receive a certificate of appreciation and valuable “Huawei” prizes, and scholarships to complete their studies in the field of sciences “communications technology, information technology, and artificial intelligence”, and those who wish to register for the competition can enter the following link:

The Executive Director of Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University indicated that the “Huawei Academy” at the university won second place at the level of Huawei academies in Egyptian universities and that the invitation is open to university students and graduates of other universities to participate in the academy to benefit from the scholarships provided..
