In cooperation with Egevsk University,
The Egyptian Russian University and the Housing and Building National Research Center Inaugurate the 15th Nano Technology Conference.
The leaderships of the Egyptian Russian University, the Housing and Building National Research Center , and Egevsk State Technical University in the Russian Federation inaugurated the events of the 15th International Conference on “Nano Technology for Green and Sustainable Construction”, with the participation of a large number of officials from Arab and foreign countries. Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing and Utilities, and in the presence of Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities and former Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing and Utilities for Basic Infrastructure Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed El-Badawi, Deputy of the Engineers Syndicate.
At the beginning of the conference, Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Russian University, welcomed the attendees, the Russian delegation and all guests from outside Egypt who made great efforts to participate in the conference events, which are being held at the headquarters of the “Egyptian Russian University” in Cairo, during the period from March 2 to March 3, 2024; To present their latest scientific contributions and discuss the future of research in the field of nano technology in green and sustainable construction; which contributes to preserving environmental resources, conserving energy and achieving Egypt’s vision in 2030.
In a related context, Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, ERU president, announced that the aim of the conference, since 15 years during the era of the former university president, Dr. Sherif Helmy, is to achieve humanity’s dream in this generation by providing comfort and economic benefits without sacrificing the rights of future generations. To use the earth’s resources through “nanotechnology” to achieve sustainable development; The aim is to direct scientific research in the field of “nanotechnology” while continuing to investigate fundamental scientific issues.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Masoud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing and Building National Research Center, emphasized in his speech, which was delivered by Dr. Tariq Mohamed Bahaa El-Din, Vice Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors on his behalf, that the conference is the result of fruitful cooperation between Egypt and the Russian Federation in construction research sciences.. noting that the use of nanotechnology in the field of construction and building is one of the most important applications that ensure the production of modern building materials with distinctive characteristics that contribute to building “sustainable urban communities”; To reduce energy use and preserve environmental resources.
In the same context, Dr. Georgy Yakovlev, head of the delegation from KlaShinkov Egevsk State Technical University, expressed his happiness at his presence at the conference and the addition of the conference in its current session on “Green Concrete Technology”, because of its positive impact on society in sustainable development, reducing costs and preserving human health and surrounding environment.. Adding that researchers have succeeded in developing simple and economical methods to produce nanoscale materials and change the mechanical and physical properties for use in building materials and green concrete.
In a related context, Dr. Magdy Abdel Hamid Hilal, Executive President of the 15th International Conference on Nano Technology in Green and Sustainable Construction, thanked the conference sponsoring bodies.. Expressing the happiness of the participants in the conference whose work began by energizing work in the field of nano technologies and ways to benefit from them in national industries and achieve technical progress for humanity.
On the other hand, Dr. Sayed Shalaby, Executive President of the 15th International Conference on Nano Technology in Green and Sustainable Construction, said that researchers expect that “nanotechnology” will ignite a series of industrial revolutions over the next two decades, which will greatly affect human life.. Emphasizing the need to benefit from research results and transform them into green products and local technology; In application of the knowledge-based and advanced scientific research economy approach.
