In the presence of major construction and urban development companies... The Egyptian Russian University Engineering Forum provides 314 job and training opportunities.


Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the employment forum for graduates of the “Construction Engineering and Architecture” programs at the university’s Faculty of Engineering, held on Wednesday, 26/6/2024, succeeded in achieving its target for the second consecutive year by providing 314 job and training opportunities for students and graduates of the two programs. He noted that the forum’s activities were supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and attended by Engineer Amr Abdel Wahab, Chairman and CEO of the Egyptian New Rural Development Company.

The President of the Egyptian Russian University confirmed that the 2024 employment forum stems from the university’s effort to create a strong link between academic studies and the labor market. The university spares no effort to provide training opportunities for students and graduates to elevate them, equipping them with academic knowledge and practical experience that meet the requirements and challenges of the labor market, granting them a competitive advantage that puts them at the forefront of graduates and opens up the greatest opportunities in the job market. He revealed that the forum also celebrated the signing of cooperation protocols in training and employment between the Department of Construction Engineering and four major Egyptian companies in the field of construction and sustainable development.

In the same context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Ahmed El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, emphasized that the employment and training forum for the college’s students and graduates successfully attracted a group of leading companies in urban development, contracting, and construction in Egypt, such as the “Egyptian Rural Development Company, Arab Contractors, Al-Hazek Company, Hassan Allam Company, and other companies in the construction and building sector.” He explained that the forum targets final-year students and recent graduates to help them obtain training and job opportunities and learn about the current and future labor market requirements from experts and distinguished company representatives in the Egyptian and global construction markets, as well as the various skills needed to secure a good job.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University pointed out that the forum resulted in several surprises for the graduates of the university’s Construction Engineering Department from the companies, detailed as follows:
– “Arab Contractors Company”:
1. Employment of the top ten graduates of the 2023 class.
2. Employment of the top ten graduates of the 2024 class.
3. Discount for graduates on the fees for diplomas offered by the company.

– Al-Hazek Company:
1. Employment of two top graduates of the 2024 class.

– “Egyptian New Rural Development Company”:
1. Employment of two top graduates of the 2024 class.
2. Financial and moral support for the department in scientific or research competitions up to 100,000 EGP.

Engineer Amr Abdel Wahab, Chairman of the Egyptian New Rural Development Company, gave important advice to students and graduates, emphasizing the need for continuous work, persistent effort, and skill development, along with focusing on scientific research and its application to reality to advance the nation and achieve “Egypt Vision 2030.” He expressed his happiness to attend the forum and highlighted one of the most significant national projects under the new republic projects, the one and a half million feddan project, which will ensure Egypt’s self-sufficiency in strategic crops, contribute to exports to provide foreign currency, and improve the Egyptian economy’s capabilities.

In the same vein, Dr. Fatma Sheltout, Head of the Construction Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, emphasized the importance of the forum and the necessity of holding it annually to act as a bridge between the college’s graduates and the job market, providing them with suitable employment and training opportunities in major specialized companies so that the college’s graduates become distinguished and competitive in the labor market: “locally, regionally, and internationally.” She noted that an open discussion was held between the guests and attendees, and the program’s students and faculty members asked the guests questions to benefit from their distinguished experiences.

The Head of the Construction Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University added that the Construction Engineering Department at the Egyptian Russian University continues to achieve leadership and excellence in its field, enhancing job and training opportunities for students and affirming its distinguished position among the civil and construction engineering departments in Egyptian universities.

In a related context, Dr. Faten Labib, Head of the Architecture Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, welcomed the guests from participating companies, specialists, and public figures at the forum. She pointed out that on the sidelines of the forum, a company exhibition was inaugurated to allow the college graduates to present their CVs for easy communication with companies. This was in accordance with the protocols signed with the companies to help the college employ as many of its graduates as possible in prestigious positions.

Attendees at the employment forum for graduates of the “Construction Engineering and Architecture” programs at the Faculty of Engineering included: “Eng. Sherif Hamdy, Director of the Construction Engineering and Management Institute at the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Amr Mohamed Rehan, HR Manager at Al-Hazek Construction Company, Eng. Nevin Magdy, Business Development Representative at Hassan Allam Company, who each gave a detailed presentation about their companies’ capabilities and advantages, national and international projects, training possibilities, and how to secure a job in these companies, Eng. Ahmed Hashish, Head of the Civil Engineering Division at the Engineers Syndicate representing Eng. Tarek Al-Nabrawy, the Syndicate President, Eng. Mohamed Nasser, a member of the Civil Engineering Division at the Engineers Syndicate, and representatives from “Cad Masters” company.

It is worth mentioning that the forum’s activities were organized by Dr. Fennes Fayid as a coordinator with companies in collaboration with the scientific club of the Construction Engineering Department “New Vision,” led by Dr. Mohamed Rabah, and with the help of Dr. Mohamed Gamal and the club’s student members by coordinating the reception of companies, filling out employment forms, and organizing the university theater, which hosted the forum’s guests and protocol signing ceremonies. At the end of the event, the guests from the participating companies were honored.
