Participation of the Egyptian Russian University in the Third Conference of the Air Defense College in Alexandria “The Third International Telecommunications Conference (ITC-Egypt’s 2023)”

Under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, and out of keenness to build academic relations, open channels of scientific communication, and support the scientific energies in the university, the Egyptian Russian University participated in the Third International Telecommunications Conference (ITC – EGYPT’s 2023), which was organized by the Air Defense College in Alexandria (ADC) from 18 to 20 July 2023.
The conference included a comprehensive technical program that covered the latest researches and innovations in the field of communications technologies. The conference also included workshops, selected posters/ projects, and research/ industry committees with prominent research leaders discussing emerging communications technologies.
The Egyptian Russian University participated with 4 teams in the project competition at the conference, two teams from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (One under the supervision of Dr. Tamer Saleh, a lecturer in the Communications Department at the Faculty of Engineering, and the other under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Zarif, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence), and two teams from the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, under the supervision of Dr. Omar Abd El-Aziz, a lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics.
The four university teams participating in the competition were promoted to the final qualifiers, where the team of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, led by Dr. Omar Abd El-Aziz, won the seventh place at the level of the Republic. The winning team included the students:

Al-Sayed Sofi
Ahmed Reda
Abd El-Rahman khalif
The supervisor and the students were honored in a big ceremony.
The team of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, led by Dr. Tamer Saleh, won the seventeenth place, and the students of the team are:

Abd El-Rahman Amer
Dr. Tamer Saleh was also honored for being selected among the best arbitrators in the conference, as he was on the arbitration committee for many projects in the final round, and he arbitrated many of the conference’s research.
