Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, announced that following the efforts and directions of the state to return university life to its normal form again, and the university’s keenness on the safety of all its members; The university organized a vaccination campaign against the emerging corona virus and allocated a headquarter to receive the vaccine at the university, in implementation of the plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Population, noting that the campaign began on the second of this month, targeting all university affiliates, numbering about 7,500 individuals, in addition to new students who will join the University at the beginning of the new academic year.

 

The President of the Egyptian Russian University confirmed that vaccination with the vaccine against the emerging corona virus is a prerequisite for all university affiliates to enter the university campus at the beginning of the new academic year. Emphasis was placed on continuing all preventive and precautionary measures taken by the university administration to deal with the Corona pandemic.

 

In a related context, Dr. Hanaa Abdel Rahman, Director of the Medical Department at the university and coordinator of the vaccination campaign, confirmed that a time plan had been drawn up to complete the vaccination before the start of the study year, and that the campaign began with the first dose on “Thursday, September 2, and ends on Thursday, September 16.” At the Faculty of Pharmacy, inside the university campus.

 

The Director of the Medical Department at the university and the coordinator of the vaccination campaign stated that students who did not receive the vaccine must register on the Ministry of Health website designated to receive the vaccine, then the student must choose the Egyptian Russian University Center as the location for vaccination, and then receive a message with the registration number that he/she must keep, which is made up of 20 numbers and after completing the registration process through the Ministry of Health website, the student must fill out the university’s form and go to the university’s vaccination headquarter on the announced date designated for the faculty to which he is affiliated.

 

The Director of the Medical Department at the university and the coordinator of the vaccination campaign added that the vaccination of the second dose for all members of the university’s faculties and departments will start from “Thursday, September 23, and end on Thursday, October 7,” next month. She thanked the information technology team and the medical staff participating in this campaign on campus. The university is supervised by Professor Dr. Ahmed Imad, the professor at the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, the teacher at the College of Engineering, Dr. Abdullah Muhammad, the teacher at the College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Amani Amer, the infection control officer at the College of Oral and Dental Medicine, for their efforts for the convenience of the recipients of vaccinations from the university’s affiliates, and for their commitment to the system and all precautionary measures.
