Students of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University create a mosaic glass mural...

Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a commemorative mural made of glass mosaic has been executed and installed on the right wall of the main entrance to the college in a way that contributes to confirming the college’s identity, which is: “Science, Art, and Design.” Pointing out that this painting comes within the framework of cooperative group activity, and within the framework of practical training in accordance with the directives of Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the University, to prepare graduates who keep pace with the labor market: “local, regional, and international” in an academic and professional manner.

The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University explained that the implementation of the mosaic glass mural took place in six stages, which are: “the design stage, preparing executive drawings, implementation, installation, finishing, and the artwork in its final form is attached to the wall.”

Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz stated that among the teaching assistants who implemented the artistic work were: “Asmaa Kamal, Radwa Muhammad, Omar Sharif Assem, Suhaila Yassin Ahmed Yassin, and Salma Yassin Ahmed Yassin,” in addition to the participation of the students of the Glass Department in the implementation under the supervision of staff members of the faculty of the Glass Department…explaining that the work as a whole confirms the deepening of the spirit of belonging and awareness of the college’s identity in an effort to make the college and university a distinguished scientific and artistic center in design in the fields of applied arts at the level of Egypt and the world.

Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz praised the quality of the work, the students involved in its implementation, and the faculty members and assisting staff who motivated the students to reach this level and this wonderful work, stressing the university’s keenness to meet all their requirements to complete the work.
