The beginning of the activities of the second stage of the Start-up Companies Olympiad at the Egyptian Russian University
Based on the vision of the Egyptian Russian University, which aims to become one of the distinguished private universities in education, culture, scientific research and knowledge, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, the activities of the second phase of the Startup Companies Olympiad began, which is considered one of the most prominent competitions in the field of innovation supported by The Fund for Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses of the Ministry of Higher Education. This was done through an online meeting held by Prof. Dr. Said Hassan Ibrahim, coordinator of the Egyptian Russian University at the Innovators and Geniuses Fund, for all teams participating in the student track.
The meeting handles the presentation of the companies that submitted offers for training and the factors that led to the selection of one of these companies. Then, a summary of what was implemented in the first phase of the Olympics was presented, and what will be implemented in the second phase by presenting the schedule of training events and activities during the period from 30/ 6 to 13/7/2024, which includes offline and online meetings, in addition to presenting the criteria for evaluating projects and forming a jury, which includes a representative of the Innovators and Geniuses Fund, a representative of the Egyptian Russian University, and 3 members of senior academics, investors, businessmen and industry.
In the end, some general instructions were presented, which included the attendance of all male and female students, members of project teams, in full (at least 70% in the case of special circumstances) for all Olympiad activities (offline and online), filling in the trainer evaluation form daily, and adhering to the assignments required in Mentoring and Pitching, reviewing project evaluation criteria and working on them before arbitration.
