The Department of Accounting organizes an educational field visit to the Egyptian Stock Exchange to enhance student investment awareness.
The Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business Technology at the Egyptian-Russian University organized a field visit to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) headquarters in downtown Cairo. This visit reflects the faculty’s commitment to linking academic and practical aspects and enhancing students’ awareness of investment culture and financial markets. Third- and fourth-year students from the departments of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Financial Technology participated in the event. Attendees from the Accounting Department included Dr. Nihad Hosni Youssef, Dr. Mohamed Farouk Hafez, and Dr. Ahmed Zakaria Elbassoussy (Ph.D.) from the Department of Political Science, in addition to faculty members from the departments of Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, and Economics. During the visit, Professor Mohamed Zuhair, Director of the Financial Culture Department at the Egyptian Exchange, gave a comprehensive presentation on the history of the Egyptian Exchange, trading mechanisms, and its role in supporting the national economy. The visit also included a field tour of the Exchange’s historic building, providing students with a unique opportunity to interact with the real financial market environment.
The visit was well received by the students, who expressed their appreciation for this field-based educational experience, which enhanced their understanding of the practical reality of the investment field and encouraged them to consider broader prospects for their careers in finance and business.
At the end of the visit, the Accounting Department students, on behalf of the college’s students, presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian Exchange management for all they had provided to raise their financial awareness.
