The Egyptian Russian University announces the names of the distinguished students in the Artificial Intelligence course for children.

Dr. Sherif Fahkry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced the conclusion of the first theoretical and practical training course for children aged 10 to 16 years in the field of artificial intelligence, in which 41 students from Badr City and neighboring cities participated, noting that this comes within the framework of the university’s adoption of an ambitious program to discover and nurture talented children in its community environment through a group of initiatives and activities targeting young people, and supporting their skills in technological fields.
The President of the Egyptian Russian University confirmed that these courses will continue due to the great demand for them from parents and their keenness to develop their children’s skills in modern fields, and the university’s keenness to raise the scientific and technological awareness of society, especially students and pupils, and meet their training needs to absorb their energies and develop their technical and creative capabilities, with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University.
For his part, Dr. Hesham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University, pointed out that the first level of the course, which lasted for five consecutive days, achieved great success in enhancing children’s ability to absorb the basics of computers and an introduction to the field of artificial intelligence, leading to their implementation of designs on applications they created themselves. They were discussed about their projects during the final presentation.
The Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University added that the course included teaching children the basics of modern technologies such as:
1. How to operate a computer and identify its components.
2. The concept of algorithms and their use to solve technical problems in enjoyable methods.
3. Interactive programming using Blockly to design game software.
4. Basics of artificial intelligence through a practical project using PictoBlox to teach children to build smart robots.
5. Design mobile applications and implement a simple application using App Inventor.
In turn, Dr. Said Hassan, Vice Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence and Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the students obtained certificates of completion of the training workshop in programming and artificial intelligence – first level, after passing 30 training hours during the period from January 26 to 30, 2025, and the best 10 distinguished projects implemented by the children were selected and honored, namely:
1. Hazem Hossam El-Din Mostafa.
2. Youssef Mohamed Ahmed.
3. Hamza Ahmed Sayed.
4. Adam Abdel Moneim Mahmoud.
5. Yahya Hossam Mohamed.
6. Mayar Hossam El-Din Mostafa.
7. Maya Hossam El-Din Moutafa.
8. Mohamed Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud.
9. Nour Noufal Mohamed.
10. Adham Ahmed Saad Suleiman.
In the same context, Dr. Sameh Zarif, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department and Director of the Training Unit at the College, confirmed that the second level of the course will be held during the end-of-year vacation, and will include advanced content to deepen children’s understanding of technology in innovative ways, through topics such as:
1. Computer and hardware basics and understanding its internal components.
2. Writing advanced algorithms and creating flow charts to solve major technical problems.
3. Scripting using RoboMind and building code-based programs.
4. Designing and building an integrated mobile application, including databases and interaction between screens, in addition to integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
