The Egyptian Russian University honors 45 students for distinguished activities.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, honored (45) distinguished students in student activities inside and outside the “university campus” in a celebration held for the second year in a row under the name “An imprint in the corners of the homeland – 2”. However, this year,  celebration was limited to honoring students without inviting guests from outside the university, in line with the general policy of continuing activities while taking into account the circumstances of the Covid 19.

The university’s honoring of distinguished students comes within the framework of the university’s interest in developing the spirit of fair competition among students and encouraging them to develop their talents in various fields in a way that goes with the state’s tendency to pay attention to developing youth capabilities and motivating them to actively participate in various activities and assimilate their energies in useful work.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Muhammad Abd al-Nabi congratulated the winning students and he urging them to continue to strive for excellence by working permanentally on developing themselves to be successful. Moreover, he praised the success of the new phase of “online” student activity which kept on going none stop in light of the pandemic.

The president of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo called on students to present their future ideas for targeted scientific activities and competitions inside and outside the university to be included in the “Student Activities Welfare Administration” plan on campus as a way of encouragement from the university to students to push them forward to open up and initiate their self-expression and their needs through legitimate channels, namely the Students’ Union. The univeresity aims to raise the level of educational services provided, and to provide full care and necessary support for those who are distinguished in all activities.

In the same context, Professor Hana Abdel-Rahman, the pioneer of student activities at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that certificates of appreciation and prizes were given to the winning students in the “online” competitions, which included competitions in: “playing and singing, magic, free style, drawing and sculpture, graphics Arabic calligraphy, photography and writing short story, poetry, and prose.” She added that the students who obtained advanced positions within the Egyptian Space Agency’s training for the establishing educational satellites were honored. The first three winners in “ Captain Robot ”competition, which was organized by the College of Engineering and some teams from outside the university participated in it,  were honored by “RGSTeam “ a specialist in robotics.
