Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Council of Ministers agreed to amend some provisions of Presidential Decree No. 256 of 2006 regarding the establishment of the “Egyptian Russian University” in Badr City in Cairo, and the decision stipulated that Article 3 of the decision should be amended. (56) for the year 2006, by replacing item (3) with the title “Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology” and adding four new colleges: “Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Al-Alsun, Languages ​​and Technology, and the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence”; In preparation for the issuance of a republican decision on this amendment.

The President of the Egyptian Russian University explained that due to the importance of the “field of computers, information and artificial intelligence”, which represents the basis for future development, the university requested approval to separate the “Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers” to become two faculties: “The Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology, and the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology, and the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence”, believing in the civilized and societal role played by the Egyptian Russian University, and seeking to develop human resources, which is the mainstay of economic and social progress.

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi added that within the framework of the university’s plan, which aims to expand the establishment of colleges, and add new specializations through distinguished educational programs required by the labor market; The university enjoys a comparative advantage in it due to its multiple relations with Russian universities. He explained that approval had been requested to establish the “College of Applied Arts, the College of Fine Arts, and the College of Al-Alsun and Technical Languages”; It is expected that a republican decision on these amendments will be issued in the near future

It is also worth mentioning that, “Egyptian-Russian University” was established by Republican Decree No. 256 of 2006, and is located in Badr City, Cairo Governorate, on the “Cairo-Suez” desert road, with an area of ​​more than thirty-nine acres. It is noteworthy that, Article Three of the Republican Decree of establishing the university; That the university includes three faculties: “The Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers.” The study began at the “Engineering and Pharmacy” faculties in the fall of 2006, and the Faculty of Engineering includes programs in: “Construction Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering” And robotics, and architecture” and it is accredited by the “Union of Arab Engineers” next to “Communication Engineering”, and the Pharm D program “Clinical Pharmacy” was opened in 2020 in addition to the general pharmacy program Pharm D, and this has previously been amended by the republican decision mentioned above No. (115) for the year 2013 with the addition of the two faculties: “Oral and Dental Medicine, and Nursing”, to the faculties of the university, and the study began at the College of “Oral and Dental Medicine”, starting from the “fall 2014” semester.

The study began at the “Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers”, as of the “fall 2018” semester, in the “Business Administration Program”, which includes specializations: – “Management, Marketing, Human Resources Management, and Finance” and the rest of the college’s programs as follows: “Science Program” Accounting, Economics Program, and Political Science Program”; In line with the state’s orientations towards digital transformation and achieving sustainable development, and many countries of the world are heading towards integrating “data sciences and artificial intelligence” in their governance in order to build societies based primarily on knowledge, and to achieve the core objective of the “Egyptian Russian University”, in the optimal preparation. for its students to meet future global competitive challenges; The study was started at the “Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers” in the professional business information technology program, which includes the disciplines of “management information systems, business analysis science, and the advanced computing and artificial intelligence program”, which includes the disciplines of artificial intelligence and data science, in which the study was started as From the Fall 2020 semester.
