The Egyptian Russian University launches its scientific journal and the mechanism of publishing in it.

Prof. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that it was celebrated of the launch of the first scientific journal for research issued by the Egyptian Russian University “ERU Research Journal, ERURJ”, which is a multidisciplinary open to access to research “Open Access”, refereed, indexed and non profitable journal.  It is published in English language every three months. He pointed out that the issuance of the magazine came with the support of Dr. Muhammad Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, within the framework of the university’s interest in scientific research and in line with the state’s plan to spread and maximize the benefits of scientific research in all fields to contribute in solving society’s problems, especially economic ones.

 

A general presentation by Prof. Sherif Fakhry on the goals of establishing the journal and the strategic vision for its future came at the beginning of the celebration. Moreover, it was followed by a comprehensive presentation about the university by Prof.  Essam Khamis; he explained the university’s material and human capabilities, its educational outputs, its international relationship, and its scientific research panorama. Then, Dr. Reham Makki, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, gave a presentation to introduce the journal, its working method and how to present research in it, and analyze the contents of its first issue.

 

In addition, Prof. Sherif Fakhry stated that the first issue of the journal “ERU Research Journal, ERURJ” was published in October 2022, and that it has research papers in construction engineering, medical drugs, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, microbiology, and pharmaceutical immunology fields. These research papers go with the third, ninth, eleventh, and twelfth goals of the Sustainable Development goals.

 

In the same context, Prof. Essam Khamis Ibrahim, Vice President of the Egyptian Russian University, Editor-in-chief of the journal and Editor-in-chief and Founder of the International Journal of Applied Chemistry, published by the Indian Publishing House, confirmed that the new scientific journal of the university is issued through a joint agreement between The Egyptian Knowledge Bank “EKB”, and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. The journal is regarded as an open publishing platform for researchers in various disciplines and it is available for viewing and contributing to the advancement of scientific research and knowledge by publishing high-quality research articles in the fields of: “Oral and Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Science Pharmacy, Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Accounting and Economics, Arts Sciences, Basic and Biological Sciences and Languages.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Hatem Abdel Aziz, Professor of Applied Chemistry at the National Research Center and Editorial Advisor of the journal, indicated that the Scientific Journal of the Egyptian Russian University welcomes researchers from various academic fields to publish their scientific production of scientific research papers or articles for free after being arbitrated and getting final acceptance. Eventually, their scientific activity will be available to the whole world on the journal’s website on the Internet. He referred that the journal’s publications are supervised by a distinguished team of the faculties staff members and researchers in all scientific fields from inside and outside Egypt.

 

Prof. Hana Abdel Rahman, the pioneer of student activities at the Egyptian Russian University and Assistant Editor of the journal, elaborated that the establishment of the scientific journal at the university aims at activating its role in serving and developing society, encouraging and publishing pioneering researches in all scientific fields to benefit from them, provide a reliable local scientific source for local and foreign researchers and shed light on the researches that aimed at achieving the goals of sustainable development according to the vision and plan of the state in (2030).

 

Moreover, Dr. Reham Hassan Makki, Associate Professorat the Department of Pharmacognosy at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University and Assistant editor of the journal, stated that among the conditions required for publication in the journal is to scrutinize the research sent to the journal to examine the citation, so that the percentage of citation must not exceed the ratios approved by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. Subsequently, the research will be subject to the arbitration process, and it must fulfill all the remarks of the arbitrators and the rules and guidelines for publishing in the journal. She mentioned that the aim of establishing the journal is to publish high quality scientific articles that serve the community scientifically, locally, regionally, and internationally and to support young researchers to publish research papers that amount to International publications.  For exploring research papers on the journal platform, you can access the following link:

It is worth noting that the members of the editorial board of the scientific journal from the Egyptian Russian University are:

1- Prof. Sherif Fakhry Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, as Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal.

2- Prof. Essam Khamis Ibrahim, Vice President of the Egyptian Russian University as Advisor to the Editorial Board of the Journal.”

3- All the deans of the eight faculties of the university are Advisers to the editorial board of the journal.

4- Dr. Hatem Abdel Aziz, Professor of Applied Chemistry at the National Research Center as Advisor to the Editorial Board of the Journal.

5- Editorial staff assistants are Dr. Hana Abdel Rahman, Dr. Reham Hassan Makki, Dr. Muhammad Adel Sayed, Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Hamdy, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Hassanein, and Dr. Saad Samir.
