Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that an exhibition for “Electronic Innovations and Circuit Design” was held at the Faculty of Engineering at the university, with the participation of more than 240 trainees from inside and outside the university. He noted that this event aims to encourage youth creativity, spread the culture of innovation, transfer and acquire skills, and foster entrepreneurial thinking. The exhibition was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the exhibition comes after a training period of approximately three months for trainees from the faculty and beyond. The training covered understanding electronic components, designing projects to solve problems, and designing and manufacturing printed circuit boards (PCBs) using the latest advanced software. He emphasized that holding the exhibition and encouraging student participation aligns with the faculty’s commitment to supporting all types of student activities inside and outside the campus, promoting fair competition, and exchanging knowledge and expertise, fostering continued excellence and success.
Dr. Tamer Saleh, a lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering and Director of the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University, indicated that outstanding students were selected and received intensive training in using microcontrollers for their projects. This resulted in the creation of innovative applications and robots. The exhibition attracted a large audience from inside and outside the university, including innovation experts, faculty deans, deputies, department heads, and academic staff.
The Director of the Huawei Academy at the Egyptian Russian University added that notable projects included:
– A medical device that measures vital human indicators like heart rate with high accuracy at a low cost.
– Autonomous vehicles.
– A mini radar device for projects related to soil quality and smart agriculture.
– Clean energy projects using solar power.
– Smart garage systems.
– Smart readers.
– Smartwatches.
– Various applications incorporating artificial intelligence.
He revealed that the training was conducted with the assistance of Eng. Rehab Hassan, Eng. Iman Al-Shami, Eng. Aya Salah, Eng. Iman Abdel Fattah, Eng. Asmaa El-Sayed, Eng. Shorouk Ali, and final-year students Mohamed Yasser, Seif Wael, Ahmed Wagih, and Abdel Sattar Hisham.
