Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a cooperation protocol has been signed between the university and the National Research Centre, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the leadership of Dr. Hussein Darwish Mostafa, the acting president of the centre. This agreement aligns with the state’s policy to advance scientific research and underscores the university’s commitment to transferring and exchanging scientific and practical expertise, supporting research activities, enhancing the educational process, and activating applied scientific research activities at the university. This initiative is supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, and attended by Dr. Ezz Eldin Abdel Aziz Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the university.

The President of the Egyptian Russian University emphasized that the protocol aims at mutual cooperation in all scientific and research fields. The university seeks to maximize the benefits for both sides through this cooperation, particularly in student training during their study stages, activating specialized training programs, and exchanging students, scientists, experts, and faculty members. It also includes organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and study sessions. He expressed his happiness at signing this protocol with the National Research Centre, which is the largest scientific research and development center in Egypt.

In this context, Dr. Ezz Eldin Abdel Aziz Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the protocol contributes to serving the community and developing the national economy, in addition to exchanging expertise between the university and the center in all scientific, research, technological, and other fields. This supports “Egypt’s Vision for Sustainable Development 2030.” He noted that the protocol will provide a unique and comprehensive educational experience for the college’s students and will link education and study with practical training, thus broadening students’ horizons.

The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University pointed out that the cooperation protocol allows for the exchange of technical and scientific expertise and consultations between both parties and enhances the utilization of research laboratories. The protocol will refine the students’ skills, preparing them for the labor market by developing their applied technical skills and enhancing their research and innovative abilities.

The protocol signing was attended by Dr. Mamdouh Mowad, Vice President of the centre for scientific and research affairs for scientific and applied cooperation between the two institutions, several institute deans from the centre, faculty members from the university, Dr. Mohamed Lotfy, Professor of Chemistry and Technology of Cellulose, Paper, and Wood at the Cellulose and Paper Department at the Chemical Industries Research Institute and seconded to teach at the Interior Design and Furniture Department at the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, and Dr. Moenes Abdel Hakam, Professor at the Glass Research Department at the center and seconded to teach at the Glass Department at the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University.
