The Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University organizes a visit for students to the Amiriya Printing Press. Photos
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a practical training visit was organized for second-year students from the Faculty of Applied Arts at the university to the Amiriya Printing Press in Giza Governorate. He noted that this visit comes within the framework of the university’s plan to develop students’ knowledge and applied skills related to their academic curricula. The goal is to train students in their academic specializations, improve their communication skills, and develop their social skills. The visit was supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and sponsored by Engineer Sayed Galal, Head of the Amiriya Printing Press Sector.
For his part, Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, emphasized that the goal of the visit was to enhance the educational process and utilize diverse teaching and learning methods. The student delegation toured all departments of the factories to learn about the production lines and the various stages of operation, shaping, and coloring. He explained that such training visits significantly contribute to the excellence of the educational process at the college and qualify students to the labor market through direct contact with its various fields of applied arts; and to implement the training and practical components of the diverse academic programs within the college for students.
The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University added that the visit was supervised by Dr. Nasr Mustafa, Head of the Printing and Packaging Department, and included: “Dr. Magdy Ezzat, Dr. Adel Taha from the college’s faculty, and designer Youssef Sanjak from the assisting staff.” He pointed out that college students conduct these field visits periodically to state facilities and national projects, institutions, and companies specialized in the fields of applied arts; this is to familiarize themselves with all their departments and participate in all their activities.
Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz revealed that this visit was organized to achieve the objectives of the Training 1 course, and to familiarize students with the most important production methods used in the preparation and printing processes for all government and security publications; as well as the finishing and binding processes; and to study the production lines used by the institution. He noted that the students expressed their happiness with the university’s commitment to preparing and training them, and providing them with the specialized skills necessary for professional practice and work in the fields of applied arts sciences.
The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University explained that these visits contribute to building specialized scientific and practical knowledge, enabling students to identify the relationship between production methods and various design trends.
Dr. Ezz El-Din Abdel Aziz thanked Engineer Sameh Khalaf, General Manager of Technical Equipment at the Amiriya Press, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Web Printing Department, and all the institution’s staff for their warm welcome and facilitation of the visit. He expressed his hope for further fruitful cooperation between the institution and the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Egyptian Russian University.
