The Faculty of Management at the Egyptian Russian University organizes a seminar on the role of the Financial Regulatory Authority. Photos

Dr. Tahera Sayed Hamyah, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, announced that a seminar was held entitled: “Financial Culture and the Role of the Financial Regulatory Authority”, in the presence of Accountant Dina Kamal, Vice President of the Central Administration for Financial Awareness and Culture, and organized by the Accounting Department at the Faculty. Noting that the seminar was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and under the patronage of Dr. Sherif Fahkry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the University.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University explained that these seminars and workshops are part of the educational methodology followed in the college for all departments to transfer expertise and advanced academic education from the best university professors and specialists in the fields of sciences “economics, finance, and marketing”; and due to the importance of interaction between students and faculty members, whether from within the college or from outside it.
Dr. Tahera Sayed Hamyah confirmed that the “seminar” adds to the students’ theoretical and practical knowledge, increases their opportunities of interacting with various fields of work after graduation, and helps them innovate in their projects, whether during the study or after graduation; given that they receive knowledge and acquire skills through various teaching methods; thanks to what the university provides in terms of modern and advanced capabilities and infrastructure, distinguished services, faculty members and specialists, and joint agreements and protocols with international universities and major official national economic institutions and companies.
In the same context, Accountant Dina Kamal, Deputy Head of the Central Administration for Financial Awareness and Culture at the Financial Regulatory Authority, confirmed that the seminar included two sessions:
– The first session: It was about the role of the Financial Regulatory Authority in enhancing transparency and financial stability.
– The second session: Talking about non-banking financial activities and their role in economic growth.
For her part, Dr. Nihad Hosni Youssef, lecturer in the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology at the Egyptian Russian University, and the symposium coordinator, indicated that a discussion was opened and questions from all students in attendance were answered regarding the supervisory role and various activities of the Financial Regulatory Authority in the banking and non-banking sectors, the trading cycle and its types in the Egyptian Stock Exchange, types of financial companies, and the definition of bonds. She noted that the symposium was organized in cooperation with members of the assisting staff and students of the college.
