Dr. Al Tahra El Sayed Hemaya, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers at the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, announced that the faculty’s management organized in the Conference Hall an orientation event to the new students starting their first year in the faculty. This orientation event was conducted in line with the start of the new academic year (2021-2022), where the new students are introduced into the learning system and all the programs that the faculty offers. Dr. Al Tahra further mentioned that students who excelled academically in the different stages at the faculty were honored, under the auspices of Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnaby, President of the University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers added during her speech to the students in the day of orientation that the faculty includes 6 special programs, as follows:

1- Business Management program, with specialties in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Finance.

2- Accounting program.

3- Economics program.

4- Political Sciences program.

5- Professional Information Technology program, with specialties in Managerial Information Systems (MIS) and the Science of Business Analysis (BA).

6- Advanced Computing and Artificial Intelligence program, with specialties in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Sciences (DS).

Dr. Al Tahra El Sayed Hemaya explicated that the students need to have proper morals at first and then acquire the scientific knowledge, not the opposite, both being the foundation for building nations. She also stressed that everyone must continue taking all precautionary measures, to ensure the safety of both the students and the faculty staff. In addition, she pointed out that the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers has multiple paths, which meet the needs of every establishment whether “managerial, economic, private, or governmental”, and that the faculty holds the capability to prepare a distinguished graduate for the “national, regional, and international” levels.

Along the same track, Dr. Mohamed Farouk, professor of Accounting at the faculty, confirmed that the Department of Accounting has many benefits and can qualify students to join a myriad of jobs after graduation from the department. He explained that the management of the faculty provides a suitable learning atmosphere for students that can help them to “succeed and excel”, while overcoming all the hurdles that face them during study.

From his part, Dr. Ahmed Al Basousy, professor of Political Sciences at the faculty, declared that the Department of Political Sciences holds several cultural and educational benefits for students, providing many job opportunities in the different sectors and ministries of the State. He further noted that there is a big difference between the past stages of education “pre-university” and the new stage students are joining, concerning the mental maturity, behavior, character building, and determining a role model to look up to.

In the same vein, Dr. Mona Mousa, professor of Business Management at the faculty, explained, in light of the Department of Business Management, that there is a difference among the four sections of the department, as well as the different jobs that the graduate of these sections can do. She also referred to the fact that it is necessary for the student to join the section that best suits his/her personality and talent to be a successful model in the future who is capable of meeting the needs of the business that evolves rapidly every day.

It is also worth mentioning that the board of the Faculty of Management, Professional Technology and Computers at the University closed the orientation day by distributing certificates of appreciation to top students. They also thanked the event’s coordinator, Dr. Nehad Hosny, professor of Accounting at the faculty, and the team of students who participated in organizing the event.
