The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University wins the first positions in the Arab Pharmacists Conference.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, announced that the university’s faculty of pharmacy won the first three positions in the “Scientific Research Competition”, submitted by the Faculties of Pharmacy in Egyptian and Arab universities in “the fifth International Conference for Arab pharmacists”
which was held in Cairo at the Hilton Heliopolis Hotel referring that the conference was under the auspices of Dr. Samer Al-Rifai, Secretary General of the Conference, and Dr. Khaled Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Sadat University, and Chairman of the Conference’s Wise Men Committee.
In the same context, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ihab Fattouh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo and president of The conference declared that those results achieved by the faculty team participating in the scientific research competition for The Fifth International Conference of Arab Pharmacists is considered a great achievement that was due to the great concern of the university and college administration in integrated university education based on the latest methods, and motivating its graduates to the field of scientific research in order to prepare human cadres that ensure the continuity of the quality of education provided by the college to students during the study.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo and the president of the conference added that the faculty is interested in exchanging experience among cadres of the pharmaceutical and medical fields in those large scientific conferences at the regional and international level, and its transmission among generations of students and members of the teaching staff while keeping pace with development and progress as well as being aware of the latest discoveries, scientific research, and technological and clinical pharmacology to reach the goal of implementing and practicing the profession of pharmacy as desired; To ensure the quality of medical care for patients; And to graduate a pharmacist who is able to face local and global competition.
For her part, Dr. Afaf Ramadan, head of the pharmacology department at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University, and head of the committee and the organizer of the conference stated that the conference was able during the previous years to achieve the desired goals, and to discuss various scientific topics to raise the standard and develop pharmacists in Egypt and the Arab world to preserve the profession and its progress.
The head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University, and the head of the organizing committee of the conference, indicated that the conference is considered a great opportunity and an affirmation of the importance of the role of the pharmacist, as their number, according to the latest statistics in the Arab world, has reached nearly half a million pharmacists, and they provide their services to more than a billion and a half billion citizens according to global systems, which makes us aspire to provide educational , research services and experience in these important conferences.

Researcher Dr. Mahmoud Farid Abu Ashour, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University and , and the research was about “The design and evaluation of biological activity and molecular modeling of some of the new SLC-0111 isotopes as effective inhibitors of the carbonic anhydrase enzyme.
Second place:
Researcher Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Alaa El-Din Atwa, a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University, the researching was about “effects of Hepatoprotective bromelain in acute galactosamine-induced liver injury in rats.

Researcher Muhammad Munib Muhammad Abdel Azim, from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of the Future, and the search was about “The protective effect of Vitamin D or rosuvastatin separate or combined in cognitive and memory impairment due to diabetes, behavioral, biochemical and potential cellular changes.”
Third place:
The pharmacist researcher, Markus Medhat Fakhry Ghattas, a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Egyptian Russian University and a teaching assistant there, and the research was about “the possible relationship of genetic polymorphism of some cholesterol receptors, and its relationship to the possibility of preeclampsia in Egyptian women.
