Announcing the Winners of the "Crane Innovators" Competition at the Egyptian Russian University
Within the framework of the ongoing effort to promote engineering creativity, develop practical skills among students, and provide an opportunity for outstanding academic competition, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, the first edition of the “Crane Innovators” Competition was held amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm. The competition was organized by “the New Vision Student Activities Club” and led by Dr. Mohamed Rabah, doctor in the Department of Construction Engineering, and Engineer Osama Ahmed, teaching Assistant in the Department of Construction Engineering, with the distinguished efforts of student Ashraf El-Sayed Baz.
The competition aimed to foster a spirit of innovation and integration among students across the university’s faculties, through multidisciplinary teams collaborating to provide practical and applicable solutions to real-life engineering challenges.
The competition was characterized by broad participation from university students from the Faculties of Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Arts, and Fine Arts. The competing teams designed and implemented innovative models to simulate lifting and control systems, utilizing their diverse engineering knowledge in an environment that stimulates critical thinking and teamwork. The judging panel consisted of a distinguished group of faculty members and engineers specialized in design, mechatronics, and artificial intelligence. They played a prominent role in evaluating the projects according to precise criteria ranging from innovation, technical accuracy, and the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
