The Egyptian-Russian University Announces Names of 15 Students Who Obtained 30 International Certificates in Artificial Intelligence... Documents Included

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Naby, President of the Egyptian-Russian University, announced that in order to prepare outstanding graduates capable of facing unprecedented challenges in the labor market, amidst accelerating technological developments, the university provides the necessary training courses to enhance students’ capabilities in various fields, particularly artificial intelligence. His Excellency indicated that 15 male and female students from the “College of Artificial Intelligence” at the university obtained two international certificates in the “fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” within the framework of a joint cooperation protocol between the College of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University and IBM, with the full support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

 

The President of the Egyptian-Russian University explained that this is an activation of the university’s role as an educational, research, and consultancy institution that interacts with the needs of society and supports the “Digital Egypt” strategy and the state’s efforts towards digital transformation. It is also an implementation of the university’s strategy for institutional development, building the capabilities of students and faculty members, and honing their practical experiences to achieve excellence in their field and enhance their digital culture, aiming to prepare them for absorbing digital transformation and sustainability projects.

 

In a related context, Dr. Hesham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University, confirmed that the students who obtained the international certificates are: “Abdel Rahman Essam, Ahmed Mustafa, Ahmed Nabil, Ahmed Nofal, Amr Tamer, Bilal Mandu, Mahmoud Asim, Mahmoud Attia, Muadh Mohamed, Nabil Tamer, Saif Ihab, Samia Yasser, Tarek Abdullah, Yousef Ayman, and Yousef Mustafa.” The students were trained in the field of “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning,” which is one of the most important fields in the contemporary era. The course was held over two weeks, with a rate of 3 training hours per day within the college’s laboratories, indicating that this step comes within the framework of encouraging students to actively and positively engage with the international community to hone their skills and gain experiences in various fields of information technology and artificial intelligence.

 

For his part, Dr. Sameh Zarif, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the faculty and the supervisor of the IBM Academy at the Egyptian-Russian University, stated that developing students’ capabilities comes to enhance their practical competence to keep up with the local and international labor market, which has become a vital matter. He explained that students obtaining international certificates directly reflects on the quality of education and the development of curricula in the university departments, contributing to the preparation of specialists in artificial intelligence qualified with theoretical foundations and practical application methodologies, who will contribute to community development and the achievement of national goals.

 

The supervisor of the IBM Academy at the Egyptian-Russian University pointed out that training students in the “field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” comes within the framework of a training protocol for faculty members from the faculty to become certified trainers from “IBM” and subsequently train students or professionals in the field through courses held for them at the “IBM Academy” within the university campus. He clarified that the course included theoretical curricula and practical training on the latest technologies of “IBM” in the “field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.” At the end of the training, two exams were conducted for the students by “IBM,” and two international certificates were granted to those who passed the exams.
