The Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University organizes the Creative Interaction Forum..
Dr. Sherif Fahkry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the “Creative Interaction Forum” was organized in its first session at the “Faculty of Fine Arts” at the university, in order to contribute to enriching the educational experience of students, developing their creative skills, and providing an interactive platform that brings together different points of view, using a cooperative methodology that enhances creative and critical thinking, and supports effective communication skills and deep research.. Noting that the forum was supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal El-Sayed Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University.
In the same context, Dr. Mohamed Orabi, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the forum included a group of diverse topics that are in harmony with the main specializations; which contributes to enriching the cognitive and practical experience of students and stimulates creative interaction and constructive community participation. He revealed that the forum included the presentation of (30) artistic projects from various fields such as: “sculpture, photography, fashion, jewelry, narrative stories, and children’s stories”.
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University pointed out that 10 short films were screened during the forum’s activities inside the “University Theater”, represented and directed by students and documentaries that aim to shed light on societal issues such as:
1- “The Last Scene” film: A short film that addresses the psychological and existential challenges in the Theater of the Absurd.
2- “The Forty” film: A short film that addresses the issue of addiction from a human perspective, highlighting the hero’s internal conflict and his challenges with society. The film highlights the devastating impact of addiction on the lives of individuals and those close to them, presenting a touching message about the importance of support and perseverance as a way to restore hope and life.
3- “Reflections” film: A short documentary film that delves into the world of glassmaking, highlighting the artistic creativity and high craftsmanship that transform raw materials into glass masterpieces that come to life. The film takes the viewer on an inspiring journey that reveals the aesthetics of design and the secrets of this ancient art.
4- “Moment of Neglect” movie: A short film about the impact of technology addiction on family relationships, where a sister neglects her brother in the amusement park because she is busy following social media on her phone; which leads to losing him. The film highlights the importance of balancing digital life and personal communication.
5- “The Fabric of Time” movie: A short film that reviews the art of jewelry making and its cultural history, highlighting the importance of preserving this traditional craft amidst contemporary challenges.
6- Short documentary: “Architect Ramses Wissa Wassef”, where the documentary reviews the philosophy of the artist Ramses Wissa Wassef in merging traditional art with contemporary creativity, focusing on the art of weaving and the artist’s influence in reviving Egyptian heritage and developing art and handicrafts.
7- “Theft of Antiquities” movie: A short film that highlights the issue of antiquities theft and the neglect surrounding historical sites. The film shows the impact of this neglect on cultural and civilizational heritage, and highlights the importance of preserving antiquities as part of the identity of nations.
8- “The Godfather’s Legacy”: A short film that tells the story of a young man who admires the writer Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, highlighting the impact of his literary works in shaping his life and ideas, and how his literary legacy continues to inspire his fans across generations.
9- “The Frame”: A short film that explores the impact of cultural identity on the individual in the face of challenges, showing the internal conflict between a deep understanding of his culture and ignorance of historical roots. The film delivers a powerful message about the importance of cultural awareness and communication with roots; to preserve identity amidst social changes.
10- “Mama, I Brought a Dog”: A short film that reflects the experience of a girl facing the loss of her mother, as she lives in a state of constant sadness, recalling beautiful memories and missing her mother’s talk and constant support.
11- “Memories”: A short film that addresses the themes of memory and nostalgia for the past, reviewing personal experiences related to moments in time and their profound impact on the lives of individuals.
Dr. Mohamed Orabi, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Egyptian Russian University, added that the most important student projects are the following:
– Sakakini Palace Revival Project for students: “Zainab Youssef, Rowan Emad, Sherine Sobhi, Menallah Ehab, Nour Amr, Nour Mohamed Riad, Hager Mohamed, Hanaa Islam, and Amira Abdullah”, which highlights the importance of Sakakini Palace and its unique architectural style and suggestions for preserving it.
– “Zamani Wa Zamanak We Shewayet Hezar” Project for students: “Rahma Mahmoud, Istabraq Essam, Iman Mohamed, Jana Mohamed, Maureen Tamer, Mariam Adly, Alaa Khaled, Damiana Grace, and Habeeba Ayman”, which is a magazine for children that discusses several eras, information, and mind games.
– The Forty Film Project for students: “Mariam Mohamed, Seif Sameh, Karim Alaa, Malak Sherif, Sahar Gamal, Malak Mohamed, Seif Sameh, Karim Alaa, Basant Wael, and Ahmed Nour”. It is a short film that deals with the issue of addiction from a deep human perspective, highlighting the hero’s inner conflict and his challenges with society.
