Congratulations to the Students of the Faculty of Engineering at the Russian Egyptian University for Winning First Place in the Eighth International Military Technical College Competition (Lieutenant General/ Ibrahim Salim Award) in the Field of Drone Design and Programming

The university administration congratulates the Faculty of Engineering student’s team for winning first place in the Eighth International Military Technical College Competition (Lieutenant General/ Ibrahim Salim Award) in the field of drone design and programming. The competition took place from July 27 to August 1, 2024, where many teams from various universities competed to present an unmanned aerial vehicle that can be operated both remotely and autonomously.
The announcement of the Russian Egyptian University team’s victory was made during the Scientific Day activities of the Military Technical College, which included the conclusion of the Eighth International Military Technical College Competition (Lieutenant General/ Ibrahim Salim Award) as well as the Eighth International Military Technical College Conference on Student Research and Innovations at the undergraduate level. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Abdel Meguid Saker, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with several ministers, branch commanders, military leaders, military attaches, and public figures.
The participating teams in the finals were selected after passing through several competition stages, with only 10 teams reaching the final round. The Russian Egyptian University team won the first place with merit.
The team consisted of:
