The Egyptian Russian University Participates in "Science City, Your Path to Knowledge Investment" at the Electronics Research Institute

Under the auspices of Professor Sherif Fakhry, President of the University, and within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Russian University and the Electronics Research Institute, a delegation of university students participated in the second training camp, which was held under the title “Science and Technology City, Your Path from Technological Creativity to Knowledge Investment”.

The camp aims to qualify Egyptian youth in the field of electronics and communications, provide them with the necessary skills for the labor market, and contribute to building a generation of creative and innovative youth; able to keep pace with the rapid developments in technology.

The camp may include a number of events that began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Mahram, President of the Electronics Research Institute and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Science City, where she introduced the institute and the Science and Technology City for research, industry, technical and engineering services and technical and engineering consultations provided by the institute from advanced laboratories, expertise, technology incubators and support for emerging companies. Dr. Mohamed Ismail, one of the members of the Executive Office and Assistant Professor at the Institute, also introduced science and technology cities in the world.

During the camp, a number of success stories of some companies that were incubated by the Institute were also presented. The day also included a number of workshops, one entitled “How to Determine the Idea of ​​a Technological Project” and the other entitled “Developing the Idea of ​​a Technological Project”. A competition was also held between students of the participating universities.

The head of the university delegation, Dr. Tamer Saleh, a lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering, presented a project idea, and the university ranked third. The camp events concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation.
