Launching the Practical Electronics Course for Children at the Egyptian-Russian University (ERU).


Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohammed Abdel-Naby, ERU president, announced starting the second round of practical electronics for children at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian-Russian University. He stated that this comes within the framework of the university’s social responsibility, and the university’s adoption of an ambitious program to discover and nurture gifted children in its community through a series of initiatives and events targeting young people. He pointed out that the course was made available to children of the university affiliates as well as other children, aiming to instill practical skills and foster a spirit of creativity, innovation, and collaborative teamwork in children, and increase knowledge of the world of electronics and practice some practical applications suitable for their ages. The course was held with the support of Dr. Mohammed Kamal El-Sayed Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

In the same context, Dr. Alaa Mohammed El-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian-Russian University, indicated that children were received and accompanied to the practical training site and divided into groups with the assistance of faculty members. He noted that attendance was made available to outsiders and those interested in electronics remotely via Zoom application. The activities are scheduled to continue every Tuesday from 9 AM to 3 PM, for 6 consecutive weeks.

For his part, Dr. Tamer Saleh, Lecturer in the Communications Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian-Russian University and Director of Huawei Academy at the university, confirmed that the electronics course is a great opportunity for children to invest time, discover children’s talents, and develop their skills in the field of electronics. He pointed out that attendance in the course was made available for children as well as pre-university young students and for all those interested in the field of electronics.

The Executive Director of Huawei Academy at the Egyptian-Russian University explained that the course was open for applications from children aged 8 to 15 years, and a closing ceremony will be held for the course, selecting gifted children and distributing certificates of appreciation to them. He added that this course was launched after the success of its first version for those interested in electronics, and that the number of children participating in this course reached 100 children.

The current course was organized by: “Engineer Rehab Hassan, and Engineer Iman El-Shamy”, and a number of distinguished university students, namely: Basma Atef Farid, Hajar Mohammed El-Khamy, Emad Hussein Abdel-Dayem, Mayar Salah Kamal, Abdulrahman Asaad Mohammed, Youssef Osama Mahmoud, Fatima Ahmed Mohammed, Malak Mahmoud Hassanein, Adham Amin Metwally, Rawan Bedeir El-Sayed, Fatima Khaled El-Sayed, Mohammed Mohammed El-Nady, Mohammed Ashraf Ibrahim, Abdulrahman Ali Mohammed, Habiba Mohammed Nasreddin, Renad Wael Taha, Habiba Ayman Hosny, and Jana Mohammed Azab.
