Dr. Sherif Fahkry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the “Technology Ambassadors” initiative was launched in collaboration with Hayah Karima Foundation on the university campus in Badr City in implementation of the cooperation protocol concluded between the university and the foundation, and under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University.

Dr. Sherif Fahkry added that the main goal of the Technology Ambassadors program is to prepare digital knowledge cadres from university students who are not specialized in the field of information technology by qualifying them and providing them with the digital knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with rapid technological developments. The program includes intensive training, specialized lectures, and practical workshops noting that the program was well received by students, as 72 students from various faculties at the university participated in its activities.

In the same context, Dr. Hesham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that among the goals of the “Technology Ambassadors” initiative are qualifying some trainees for a career path as a trainer with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, spreading digital awareness within the villages of Hayah Karima, spreading advanced digital culture, and working on digital economic empowerment noting that the first launch aim of the Technology Ambassadors Program is represented in spreading awareness about cybersecurity among university students of various specializations, as well as visiting the villages of the national project ” Hayah Karima ” to spread awareness in schools and government facilities.

For her part, Dr. Hanaa Abdel Rahman, Advisor to the President of the Egyptian Russian University for Student Activities, said that the university students participating in the initiative received intensive training throughout the week, and that the training included awareness of several technological hubs, including developing digital skills, as well as awareness of the phenomenon of cyberbullying, spreading awareness of how to protect data and ensure that it is not hacked, and providing some opportunities for digital economic empowerment noting that the university administration worked to provide all the various facilities and facilitations for students and trainers throughout the training period at the university, believing in the importance of the initiative and keen on its success and enriching the knowledge of participating students and providing them with the necessary expertise to achieve excellence.

 

On the same topic, Dr. Mohamed Bahery, Vice President of the Field Sector at the Hayah Karima Foundation, and a lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University, confirmed that the “Technology Ambassadors” initiative includes:

 

1- Providing digital training packages for university students.

2- Expanding the base of volunteers for the Well- Living Foundation.

3- Developing the digital skills of university students and Well- Living volunteers.

4- Launching a Well- Living Unit to combat electronic violence.

 

The lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian Russian University noted that the initiative’s activities were attended by: “Dr. Buthaina Mustafa, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Hayah Karima Foundation and the official spokesperson for Hayah Karima Foundation, Hind Galal, Director of the Initiatives Sector at Hayah Karima Foundation, Engineer Nermin Mahmoud, Deputy Coordinator of Cairo Governorate for Hayah Karima Foundation, Engineer Essam Othman, Lecturer at the Ministry of Communications, and trainers of the National Training Academy.” He revealed that a mutual honor was presented between the university and the foundation in an atmosphere characterized by mutual cooperation and confirming the strength of cooperation between the Egyptian Russian University and Hayah Karima Foundation.

It is worth noting that in conjunction with the activities of the “Technology Ambassadors” initiative, the Egyptian Russian University also hosted the activities of the “Value” initiative to train university students, which is held as a joint cooperation between Hayah Karima Foundation and the National Training Academy affiliated to the Presidency of the Republic with the aim of raising awareness of the concepts of volunteering and introducing Hayah Karima Foundation and its developmental role and receiving proposals and ideas from young people to implement them in the Well- Living villages, in addition to developing students’ personal skills and providing them with basic knowledge related to important life and professional topics and promoting the values ​​of citizenship and enhancing the desire for volunteer work.
