Applied Arts at the Russian University announces student projects at the departments.. photos

     Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that the University’s Faculty of Applied Arts organized an exhibition for students’ projects in the courses of the following departments: Glass, Fashion and Clothing, Printing and Packaging and Interior Design. The event takes place within the framework of continuous educational development and effective activity for the faculty students. Dr. Sherif highlighted that the university management is keen on giving the student the opportunity to apply what (s)he has learnt in his/her field of specialization, to implement it on the ground to be ready, and to keep in line with the labor market. The students’ projects are cared for and supported by Dr. Mohamed Kamal Al-Sayed Mustafa, Head of the University’s Board of Trustees.

     In the same context, Dr. Ezz-el-Din Abd-el-Aziz Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the ERU, highlighted that the students presented their distinguished creative projects, which included the practical and artistic outcomes of the specialized educational process in the educational curricula for the first semester of the academic year (2024-2025), second and third levels, under the supervision of the faculty members. He indicated that the faculty management is keen on qualifying the students and motivating them to continue their research and creativity in order to become graduates who are qualified for both the local and international labor markets.

– The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at the ERU pointed out that the outcomes of the educational process in the specialized courses for the first and second years (second and third levels) in the Glass Department included:

* Course of Glass Production Technology (1)

* Course of Glass Production Technology (2)

* Course of Photography and Glass Sculpture

* Course of Industrial Glass Design (1)

* Course of Glass Products and their Relationship to Architectural Styles

 

 – As for the outcomes of the educational process in the specialized courses for the first and second years (second and third levels) in the “Fashion and Clothing” Department, it included:

* Course of Mannequin Shaping (1)

* Course of Fine Knitting Techniques

* Course of Children’s Clothing Design

* Course of Living Nature

 

– The outcomes of the educational process in the specialized courses for the first and second year (second and third levels) in the “Printing and Packaging” Department included:

* Course of Publications Design (1)

* Course of Animation Design

* Course of Graphic Design – foundation level

* Course of Illustration Design

 

 – The outcomes of the educational process in the specialized courses for the first and second year (second and third levels) in the “Interior Design and Furniture” Department included:

* Course of Home Interior Design

* Course of Architectural Drawing

* Course of Architectural Styles

* Course of Miniature Models

 

     Dr. Ezz-el-Din Abd-el-Aziz Hassan added that the students’ projects included presenting a number of proposed ideas that express the Egyptian and Arab identity and are based on an attempt to employ various materials in an advanced academic manner. The students succeeded in employing the materials very effectively to express the project ideas and to produce them with high levels of creativity and craftsmanship, which qualify them to succeed in the labor market after graduation.
