Scientific Conference of Communications Engineering Department at Egyptian Russian University Witnesses Honoring of Top Students and Distinguished Ones in Activities
Amid an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong spirit of collaboration among faculty members and students, the Department of Communications Engineering has witnessed the launch of the department’s scientific conference. The day started with a display of a group of student activities that reflect the diversity of research and applied interests of the department’s students. Applications are now open for these activities as part of the department’s efforts to support innovation and build student cadres with high capacity of keeping pace with labor market requirements in the fields of communications, electronics, and modern technologies.
At the forefront of the activities was the “TeleTitans” Scientific Society for Communications, Electronics and Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of Dr. Shaymaa Mustafa and Dr. Ahmed Hamdy. The students Fatima Ahmed and Khaled Farooqi gave a distinguished presentation on the society’s objectives and its diverse activities, which contribute to supporting students academically and practically, both within and beyond the university, and work to link theory with practice through innovative projects and workshops.
Huawei Academy’s activities were also reviewed under the supervision of Dr. Tamer Saleh, Academy’s Executive Director. The student Seif Al-Deen Wael gave a comprehensive presentation on the Academy’s training programs and global competitions, highlighting its role in qualifying students to obtain professional certifications in the field of networks and communications. This has helped many university students achieve advanced positions locally and internationally.
The day also included a special presentation about Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy, under the supervision of Assistant Professor / Dr. Shaymaa Mustafa and Dr. Ahmed Hamdy. The presentation was given by the students Mohamed Yasser and Mazen Mahmoud, who reviewed the academy’s goals and educational paths in the fields of cloud computing, cyber security, and modern technologies, highlighting the significance of these areas in shaping the future of technology and digital transformation.
Following the presentations, Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Shayma Mustafa, Head of Communications Department, Dr. Tamer Saleh, and Dr. Ahmed Hamdy delivered motivational speeches in which they expressed their pride in the department’s students and the innovative initiatives and ideas which they are presenting, paying tribute to the spirit of teamwork and creativity that was quite obvious during the events, underlining the department’s commitment to continuing to support such academic activities which develop the students’ skills and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market.
The day concluded with honoring the top students at all academic levels, as well as distinguished graduates in appreciation of their achievements and excellence throughout their years of study. The names of the honored students were as follows:
First Level: Abdullah Hamdy, Moreen Amgad, Kirollos Hany, Seif Tamer, Yasmina Mohamed and Razan Ashraf.
Second Level: Youssef Hany, Ahmed Tamer, Malak Mahmoud, Fatima Ahmed and Mustafa Ahmed.
Third Level: Youssef Taha and Abd-el-Rahman Ahmed.
Fourth Level: Ahmed Mohamed, Abd-el-Aziz Ayman, Abrar Atef and Mohamed Abd-el-Raheem.
In addition to the graduates: Sohaila Ahmed, Nasser Mo’men, Ola Raafat and Hebat-Allah Abd-el-Halim.
The day was truly a day of pride and achievement, embodying the spirit of belonging and ambition which characterizes the Department of Communications Engineering. It asserted its leading position as one of the vital departments that combines academic excellence with practical application, and which always strives to prepare a generation of engineers who are capable of innovation and competition in the fields of modern technology.
