The Egyptian-Russian University Hosts "Gemini Debugging Workshop" to Enhance Students' Digital Skills
In a move to strengthen academic and technical cooperation among educational institutions, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Fakhry, President of Egyptian-Russian University, in cooperation with the Arab Open University, organized the “Gemini Debugging Workshop.” The event was attended by prominent figures from both universities, including faculty members, and a large No. of students interested in technology and programming. This initiative aligns with the cooperation among the Egyptian universities and the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, as well as the state’s focus on strengthening partnerships between its institutions.
The event was honored by the distinguished presence of representatives from the Arab Open University, including Professor Dr. Nermin Khader, President of the Arab Open University, Dr. Eid Al-Omari, Dean of the Faculty of Computers at the Arab Open University, and a number of faculty members.
Leaders from both universities praised the importance of technological initiatives in supporting applied learning systems and emphasized the role of student activities in honing students’ skills and bridging the gap between academic study and practical experience.
Professor Dr. Dr. Sherif Fakhry stated that, as part of the university’s commitment to provide a modern learning environment that encourages student creativity and fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, it continuously supports such initiatives. Dr. Hesham Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University, also pointed out that this student activity is an excellent platform for exchanging technical knowledge and developing skills in programming, interface design, data analysis, and cybersecurity. He emphasized the faculty’s commitment to adopting more initiatives that develop its students’ skills and support their active participation in local and international competitions.
During the event, members of the Google Developer Group on Campus (GDG) at AOU delivered a comprehensive presentation showcasing the various technical pathways in the modern technology world. They highlighted the importance and advantages of each pathway, its training and career opportunities, and how to utilize Google’s artificial intelligence tool
The event also featured a series of interactive talks and specialized sessions covering the latest technological trends, along with inspiring presentations offering valuable advice to students on building successful career paths.
The event witnessed significant student interaction, with many expressing keen interest in joining the GDG On Campus community, drawn by its opportunities for learning, training, and applied projects.
