A distinguished workshop at the Faculty of Pharmacy – Egyptian Russian University entitled: “The Drug Journey: From Factory to Patient”
As part of the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment at the Egyptian Russian University to promoting continuous pharmacy education and professional development, and in line with its mission to bridge academic knowledge with practical application and prepare competitive pharmacy graduates for both local and international markets, the Center for Continuing Pharmacy Education and Training organized a workshop entitled:
“The Drug Journey: From Factory to Patient (Registration – Stability – Bioequivalence)”
under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ihab Fetouh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and led by Prof. Dr. Alaa Zaki, Director of the Center for Continuing Pharmacy Education and Training, with the support of Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdallah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The workshop was held in collaboration with Pharma Guide Center and Beit El Khebra for Pharmaceuticals, and featured speakers:
•Dr. Noha Mostafa Akasha Abdallah – Business Development Manager, Pharma Guide
•Dr. Asmaa Hussein – CEO, Beit El Khebra for Pharmaceuticals
The workshop was attended by 87 students and 11 faculty members and teaching assistants, all of whom received certificates accredited by the Faculty of Pharmacy and the participating companies.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the complete journey of a drug—from research and development to reaching the patient—covering stages such as registration, quality assurance, stability studies, and bioequivalence.
The sessions also addressed the regulatory aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, the role of regulatory authorities, and career opportunities in regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
