The Egyptian Russian University achieved a recent sport accomplishment, adding to its record of successes, during the university team’s participation in the Martyr Ibrahim El-Refaie Championship (53rd edition), organized by the Egyptian University Sports Federation from January 28th to 30th, 2026.
Amidst strong competition from elite athletes representing both public and private universities, the university’s students succeeded to secure top positions.
The results are as follows:
* Silver Medal: Won by student Zahwa Mohamed Abdel Fattah (Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine) after achieving second place in the 100-meter hurdles competition at the Egyptian university level.
* Student Ahmed Mohamed Abu El-Magd (Faculty of Engineering) achieved remarkable results, securing:
– Fourth place in the long jump competition.
– Fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles competition.
This participation comes as part of the Egyptian-Russian University’s commitment to supporting sports activities and developing students’ talents, enabling them to represent the university honorably in major sporting events.
