From the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence... An Egyptian-Russian University Student Wins First Place from the Ministry of Communications...

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel-Nabi, President of the Egyptian-Russian University, announced that student Howaida Ashraf, enrolled in the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, won first place and the title of Best Graduation Project for her project, “Sheryan,” within the “Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative,” held under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. He noted that the student’s participation in the competition represents a new achievement reflecting the excellence of student cadres in the university’s faculties.

The President of the Egyptian-Russian University added that adopting artificial intelligence technologies by Egyptian students enhances the competitiveness of national industry. He stated that this success comes within the framework of the “Building Digital Egypt” strategy and affirms the role of the Egyptian-Russian University, with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, in developing its students’ competitive skills and encouraging them to innovate and exchange experiences with various universities, thus serving “Egypt Vision 2030” for digital transformation.

In the same context, Dr. Hisham Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University, confirmed that this victory is the culmination of the student’s efforts after receiving an intensive six-month training grant, which included:

– Technical training: in the latest technological specializations related to artificial intelligence.

– Skills development: specialized programs in leadership, languages, and soft skills.

The Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Egyptian-Russian University explained that the student, Howaida Ashraf, in collaboration with her team, presented the “Sheriyan” project, an integrated digital medical platform aimed at digitizing the healthcare system in Egypt. The project’s most prominent features include:

– Smart connectivity: integrating the patient, doctor, pharmacy, and laboratory into a single technological system.

– Medical digitization: the ability to upload prescriptions, request tests, and book appointments electronically.

– Smart assistant: the integration of an AI-powered medical chat bot to answer patients’ inquiries instantly. – Map Integration: Using Google Maps technology to guide patients to the nearest healthcare provider (pharmacy or laboratory).
