Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnaby, President of the Egyptian Russian University, announced that the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the university organized its first scientific conference. This comes as part of the university’s strategy to promote scientific research and strengthen graduates’ connection with their faculty, in line with the university’s commitment to developing students’ “professional, technical, and personal skills.” These efforts aim to prepare students and graduates to successfully enter both the local and international labor markets. He also noted that the conference was held with the support of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.
In the same context, Dr. Khaled Tawfik, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at the Egyptian Russian University, explained that the main objective of organizing the first scientific conference was to serve the faculty’s students and graduates and familiarize them with the latest developments and contemporary challenges in the field of oral and dental medicine, while also promoting continuous education and professional development.
The Dean further emphasized that the conference was not merely a platform for scientific lectures delivered by distinguished academics, but also served as a bridge connecting different generations. The conference was organized through the collaboration of the departments of Conservative Dentistry, Endodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry, and witnessed the attendance of a large number of internship students and graduates.
Dr. Khaled Tawfik added that the conference was marked by strong participation from the dental industry sector, with leading dental supply companies in the Egyptian market taking part. Notably, three of these companies were established by graduates of the faculty, reflecting the success of the university’s alumni in the labor market and confirming the high quality of the university’s educational outcomes.
For her part, Dr. Norhan El-Doky stated that the conference witnessed distinguished attendance from faculty members representing various universities, alongside the faculty’s own academic staff. More than 150 graduates of the faculty, in addition to internship students, participated in the event, which greatly enriched scientific discussions and the exchange of expertise. She also revealed that, in a remarkable gesture, Arteck donated a set of devices and equipment to the faculty in support of the educational process and student training
