Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby, President of the Egyptian Russian University (ERU), announced that a visit was organized and carried out to the electronics factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in the presence of university leaders and faculty members. This conforms well with the university’s strategy to strengthen cooperation with national industrial institutions, link the educational process to modern practical applications, and provide students with practical training opportunities, which guarantees bridging the gap between academic curricula and the actual demands of the labor market.

The President of the ERU explained that the visit was held under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Kamal Mostafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. It represents a practical step toward linking education, innovation, and employment with national industry, which contributes to realizing the state’s vision, industrial development, and technological advancement.

Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abd-el-Naby asserted that the university’s strategy places great importance on reinforcing partnerships with production and industrial institutions. This approach is based on a firm belief in the necessity of integrating academic education with practical application, which positively affects the quality of the educational process, enhances graduates’ competence, and supports the scientific research and innovation system.

In this context, Dr. Essam Khamis, Advisor to the President of the ERU for Academic Development, pointed out that the visit aimed to support cooperation between the university and the industrial sector and to get informed on the latest technologies and systems used in the electronics industry. This contributes to reinforcing academic programs, turning academic research into tangible technological solutions and products, and preparing graduates who are well-equipped with the skills and knowledge aligned with labor market requirements.

The ERU President’s Advisor added that, during the visit, the university delegation saw the factory’s laboratories and the latest production lines as well as the advanced technologies used to manufacture electronic systems, security surveillance systems, and smart electronics. They also were informed of the various manufacturing stages, quality assurance systems, and also the efforts dedicated to localizing technology and supporting local manufacturing.

On his part, Dr. Alaa Mohamed Al-Batsh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the ERU, pinpointed that the university delegation attended a presentation on the strategic partnership model between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the private sector. This partnership has resulted in the development and production of advanced technological solutions bearing the “Made in Egypt” label, while meeting the highest global quality standards, which reflects the competitiveness of Egyptian industry and its role in supporting the national economy.

The Dean stated that such visits offer a significant opportunity for faculty members and researchers to gain knowledge on the latest industrial and technological trends, which contributes to curriculum development and the launch of joint research and applied projects, which serve national development goals.

In the same vein, Dr. Wael Badawy, Head of the Department of Data Science at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the ERU, stated that this visit goes in line with the university’s vision of building up strategic partnerships with leading industrial institutions. These partnerships aim at supporting the university’s role in preparing qualified cadres, who are well-equipped with both knowledge and practical experience, which in turn supports the national efforts to localize technology, reduce dependance on imports, accomplish sustainable development, and build a sustainable, knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
