The Council of Private and Ahli Universities held its regular meeting today, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Helmy El-Ghar, Secretary of the Council, and members of the Council of Private and Ahli Universities, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Russian University.

 

Mr. Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Mr. Ashraf Abdel Majeed, Vice President of the University’s Board of Trustees, welcomed the Minister and the members of the Board to attend. Prof. Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the Egyptian Russian University, thanked His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to hold the Council in the campus, wishing everyone continued success for the benefit of educational institutions, students and scientific research in Egypt. A short film about the university, its genesis, achievements and future plans was shown.

 

The meeting began with Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar thanking the Russian University for hosting the council meeting, and Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, also refers to the implementation of all precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus in universities, and taking measures to reduce the number of students in the grades And teaching rooms and laboratories, reducing the time allocated to lectures and the presence of teachers and workers at rates that allow the educational process to proceed, taking into account the use of distance education whenever possible; To reduce the presence of students in universities.

 

The minister also instructed about the necessity of integrating the skills of the twenty-first century into the curricula of Egyptian university students, and the mechanism for assessing the level of students in mastering these skills, given the total change in a number of countries in the world that have begun to link education and obtaining jobs with skills and competencies and not with certificates.

 

The Minister instructed universities to seek assistance from the National Identification Center in obtaining certificates and official papers. To ensure that it is safe and not amenable to fraud.

 

The Council witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Council of Private and Private Universities and the Fund for Honoring Martyrs, Victims, Missing Persons and Those injured in military, terrorist and security operations and their families, to support the Fund with material resources, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Fund.

 

 

 

The Council reviewed the ministerial decisions issued during the last period related to the start of studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a number of colleges, as ministerial decisions were issued to start studying at the undergraduate level at King Salman International Universities with its three branches in Al Tur, Sharm El Sheikh and Ras Sidr – El Alamein International. Galala – Badr – Egypt for Science and Technology – Sphinx – Horus – Deraya. Ministerial decisions were also issued to start the postgraduate studies in the universities of “Egypt for Science and Technology – Egypt International – October 6 – Future – British in Egypt – Pharos – Nile National”, in addition to the issuance of the presidential decree to establish a university institution called “European Universities in Egypt”.

 

The council approved the introduction of a course change system for students who cannot complete their educational career within their colleges, in order to regulate the students’ desire to transfer from one college to another college not similar in the same university or another university, according to several conditions including: That an academic year has passed since The system applies to students enrolled in colleges, and the system applies to students who are not enrolled in colleges on the condition that a full academic year passes for them only on the last entry, and the minimum admission limit for the college to be transferred to is met in the year of enrollment, and the student is considered a newcomer to the new college. Consideration of requests to change course according to a letter from the university to be enrolled with attached documents, and in the event of clearing of previous courses, the minimum number of semesters necessary for graduation must be met. The Board stressed the speed of the colleges ’submission to the Quality Assurance Authority, in order to obtain the accreditation of the Commission.

 

The council agreed to direct graduation projects to the colleges of engineering and applied arts in universities, to beautify the new administrative capital, within the framework of the national initiative to beautify the new administrative capital.

 

The Council approved the academic cooperation agreement between Ain Shams University and the University of 6 October, in the academic and training fields, and the development of joint scientific research in line with the vision of Egypt 2030, in addition to organizing and holding scientific conferences, seminars and seminars on topics of common interest, cooperation in the implementation of medical convoys and exchange of experiences Consulting in various fields.

 

The council agreed to participate in the Fulbright programs for the academic year 2022/2023, and to participate in an online seminar about the Commission’s programs for graduate students and faculty members, and to provide them with instructions on how to apply in various scientific and literary disciplines.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The council discussed the universities’ readiness to apply online admission for the academic year 2021/2022, and approved the first week of August 2021 as a deadline for conducting entrance examinations, so that the lists of successful candidates in the admission tests could be entered into the electronic admission system in sufficient time, before starting the electronic admission procedures.
