A day to develop children's skills in the fields of "Environment and Energy" within the activities of the "Children's University " at the Egyptian Russian University

The Egyptian Russian University received Children’s University students on Saturday, February 26, and the activities included a lecture and a workshop in the field of environment and energy. Throughout the day, Dr. Omar Abdulaziz Muhammad (the lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechatronics and Robotics) in cooperation with the “Children’s University ” team at the Egyptian Russian University, identified the difference between weather and climate, the factors of weather change and the different types of climate around the world. The students also learned about the natural factors that may affect the environment, the state of the climate on planet Earth, and the importance of preserving the atmosphere. On the other hand, the students learned about the natural food cycle of living organisms and their impact on the energy pyramid and its importance for the continuation of life. The students were also acquainted with topics related to energy sources and their types, whether renewable or non-renewable. Including calculating the individual’s energy consumption in his daily life and the volume of carbon dioxide emissions in daily activities and habits and how to reduce them to preserve the environment and protect it from damage.
